Storyline Of Tidelands
Tidelands follows a plot full of mystery and supernatural aspects. The story’s protagonist, Cal Mc Teer, is a former prisoner who was arrested as a teenager for alleged murder. She is released from prison after ten years.
She returns to her home, a fishing village in Orphelin Bay. There, she comes across a dead body. This leads her to some dangerous species called the Tidelanders. They are partially siren and partially human. They were formed from the mating of fishermen and sirens.
There is a rivalry or a fight between the Tidelanders and the people from the town of Orphelin Bay. The Tidelands have become a community under the rule of Adrielle Cuthbert. On the other hand, the townspeople of Orphelin Bay knew well about the Tidelanders’ and sirens’ existence.
But they choose and are often paid to keep their mouths shut because they fear the Tidelanders’ powers. Adrielle is looking for the pieces of an old horn that is supposed to destroy humanity if blown.
But her search becomes complicated with the association between sirens and humans and with the return of Cal Mc Teer, who becomes a solid opposition to Adrielle. Eventually, Cal discovers that she, too, has the abilities of a siren.
What happens at the end of Season 1?
The final episode of season 1 focuses on a showdown between Adrielle and Cal. Cal has been looking for the pieces of a horn throughout the season, and she finally has it.
Cal wants to take the piece from Adrielle as Adrielle has evil intentions with the horn. Soon, Adrielle seizes Cal. However, she is not sure how to deal with her. Gills helps Cal to come out of the prison.
There is a fight between Cal and Adrielle. Cal wants to break the piece of the horn. Cal drops the horn piece in a heated moment, and Adrielle gets it. But Gilles manages to stab Adrielle in that moment.
Adrielle, who is now hanging between life and death, wants to save her throne and wants Cal to join her in this rule.
Meanwhile, a lot of injuries take place. When Dylan cures Adrielle, she betrays him and kills him. The Tidelanders, in the end, stand by Cal, indicating that they want her to lead them.
