Storyline of The Demon Prince of Momochi House season 2: What it able to be about?
Momochi-san Chi no Ayakashi Ouji, titled as The Demon Prince of Momochi House, is the adaptation of a Japanese manga series of the same title illustrated and written by Aya Shouoto. This fantasy-romance series ran from February 2013 to August 2019 for about 16 volumes in total.
The plot revolves around Momochi Himari, an orphan who receives a family estate as inheritance on her 16th birthday. She receives an old Momochi family estate which is rumored to be haunted and she has received multiple warnings of the same. But with no other place to go, she ends up moving to the estate.
On reaching there she gets to know that the place is occupied illegally by three young men – Yukari, Ise and Aoi. The guys warn her about the haunted estate and urges her to leave the place immediately. They let her know about the spirits and ghosts that are surrounding the place m, but she doesn’t give in to them and stays put.
She thinks that the men are trying to push her out so that they could occupy the place for themselves. However, she comes to know that all the tales and rumors are true about the place, as the estate is at the border between the human realm and spirit world.
She was supposed to be the guardian of the place and protect the peace between the two places, but now the position is taken up by Aoi.
What happened at the end of season 1 of The Demon Prince of Momochi House?
Season 1 is yet to complete its run and it’s hard to estimate an ending as only three episodes have aired so far. While episode 1 of season 1 was all about setting the foundation for the season, by introducing characters and how the protagonist is handling the sudden plot-twist in her life.
Episode 2 was focussed on how Himari settles down in the estate and trying to get the flow of how to work things around in having a place of her own. We got to know more about the three men staying at the estate as well, majorly about Aoi- who is the acting head of the Momochi house.
With Aoi unable to leave the house, it shows that there is some mystery about the house. It is later revealed that Himari was supposed to be the Nue, one who protects the human realm from the spirits world and not Aoi, who was somehow forced to take up the position of being a Nue.
Episode 3 showed Himari starting her education in a new school. And she comes across her new teacher , Takamira Nachi whom she had met earlier. Later on, her classmates – Hana, Aika, Rui, Tadashi suggest that they go to Momochi house and finally come over to look around the popularly haunted Momochi estate.
The handsome men of the estate disguise themselves as Himari’s sisters with names- Yukariko, Iseko, Aoiko to fool her friends and they believe it. But the three guys grab Himari aside to tell her that one of her friends is dead and Himari has to somehow find the person who is dead and get them to leave, as the three guardians couldn’t interfere.
The catch here is that she has to find the right one and if she guesses wrongly, the spirit could go crazy and attack Himari and her friends.
Himari finds Hana in the bathroom, in an unconscious state and wonders if she could be the ghost. This is the work of a red-haired man who is on the roof of the house. But Yukari states that though she doesn’t have a soul, she is not the ghost.
The ghost turns out to be Aika Torii, who is controlled by the red-haired man, Kasha. Himari somehow manages to save Torii from his grasp, whereas Kasha moves back. Himari’s friends leave the house along with Hana and in the end, she reveals that she know about the disguises of the three guys posing as the protagonist sisters.
What is going to happen in Season 2?
As season 1 is yet to complete its air, it’s hard to speculate or assume any plot for season 2 which hasn’t been officially announced yet.
Fans may expect season 2 to follow the volumes of the manga, right from where season 1 ended. With only three episodes aired in season 1 so far, spoiler or expectation regarding season 2 is impossible.
