The Apple TV Series is back yet again with another romantic comedy show, “Still Up,” which revolves around two friends, Lisa and Danny, battling with insomnia! Created by Steve Burge and Natalie Walter, this British romantic dramedy series premiered for the first time on 22 September 2023.

Still Up (2023): What It Able To Be About?
“Still Up” centers around two friends, Lisa, who is an illustrator, and Danny, a socially anxious journalist, who battles with insomnia. As they slowly bond over late-night conversations, the duo falls in love with each other.
In the first episode, we get introduced to Lisa and Danny while they are busy in a video chat. We find the female lead on her way to a pharmacy to get meds for her daughter, Poppy, as the latter is suffering from Chicken pox.
On the other hand, we find Danny isolating himself from the world around him, as he is an unsocial person and dreads going out. The scene changes, and we see Lisa now setting up a dating account for Danny so that he can move on from his ex-girlfriend Chloe’s memories.
In the second episode, we see Lisa returning home on a bus after finishing her night shift at the office. She recalls her dead aunt Em, from whom she had borrowed a dress and never returned back! She decides to give back the dress, as Em’s last wish was to get buried in that dress. On the other side, we see Danny matching with Amy on the dating app.
When Lisa comes to know about the same, she advises him to keep things simple.! While chatting with Danny, Lisa finds a message from her partner, Veggie, who has now sent her a video. In an unexpected turn of events, Lisa sleeps while watching the video, and now she has missed the stop at Em’s house.
Moreover, her aunt’s dress is also stolen by a group of people on the bus. She finally gathers the courage to ask for her dress back and, in a win, gets it back.
On the other hand, we see Danny suspecting that he has developed cancer and asks Lisa to check it. Lisa asks Danny to stop overthinking! While chatting with Lisa, Danny, by mistake, sends his “lumpy skin picture” to Amy, who does not mind it.
In the episode 3, we find Danny waiting for his date, Amy to come over to his place so they can get to know each other closely. When Lisa comes to know about the development between Danny and Amy, she decides to leave him for a while! But she gets jealous of Amy, which shows that she has a soft place for him in her heart.
As boredom gets the better of her, she tries to engage herself with other things but cannot help but check out the chats between Danny and Amy on the dating app! On the other side, we see Danny and Amy having a quality time together.
When Lisa stood up to leave, Danny asked her out for another date, but the former dismissed it, saying Danny was not yet over her ex! When Danny told her that she had never mentioned Chloe to her, she said she was referring to Lisa!
In episode 4, we find Lisa participating in a sleep study, while Danny readies himself to initiate a conversation with someone, who could have an impact on his career.
In episode 5, we see Lisa going on a family camping trip with Veggie’s family, and she completely hates the same.
In episode 6, we see Danny doing everything in her control to get Lisa back to her home, as she loses control of herself after a drinking session!
What Happens At The End Of Still Up (2023) Season 1?
In episode 5 of the series, we saw Lisa going on a family camping trip with her partner, Veggie, although she hated it! But, to her surprise, Veggie’s parents, Russell and Christine, whom Lisa does not like, join in with the couple.
Although the family members could not bond well with each other, we saw all of them sitting down together to play a private family game, “Veggie Veggie Bing Bong.” Although Lisa is not aware of the rules of the game, she finally manages to win with the help of Danny.
