Dexter New Blood Season 2 Expected Release Date & Time
The first season was so full of suspense and mind-blowing plot twists that the audience gripped the edges of their seats. Even after this enormous success, fans are confronted with disappointing news that the show won’t be renewed for a second season.

In the first episode, we see Dexter, now living in Iron Lake, New York, working as Jim Lindsay at a local arms shop.
He also has a fling with Angela bishop, the head of the police department. Throughout the episode, we are repetitively shown that Dexter is pushing himself very hard to keep himself aloof from his temptations to murder people.
The main plot begins one day when he runs into his son Harrison and gets into dealing arms with a man named Matt Caldwell.
He wanted to buy a high-end hunting rifle from Dexter. But Dexter soon comes to know that the man has previously caused the death of 5 people while running a Powerboat.

Although that incident was dismissed as an accident, Caldwell claimed he purposely caused it. Then he guns down a white deer in front of Dexter, which causes his alter ego, the murderous ‘dark passenger’s memories, to reappear, and fear sets in him as when it starts taking over him.
This season primarily focuses on Dexter’s attempts to bond with Harrison as his father and develop an understanding of him.
Owing to his respective cause, the dark passenger seemingly returns. This puts Dexter in a tight spot as atoning for his sins comes with a heavy price.
What Happened At The End Of Dexter New Blood Season 1 ?
Dexter is taken into custody after Matt Caldwell’s murder. She contacts Batista after he refutes every evidence she has against him.
Dexter tells Angela about Kurt’s bunker after being forced into it, and she immediately leaves him with Logan to look further into the matter. To get out of his cage and meet Harrison again, Dexter breaches his code once more after murdering Logan.
When Angela calls Logan for assistance, she senses something is fishy as he doesn’t respond. Dexter, who is getting ready to leave town, fights with Harrison, and they determine that Harrison’s code is defective.
Dexter tearfully concludes that he must pass away for Harrison to resume his “normal” life. To make up for his shortcomings as a father and to liberate his son, he gives Harrison the order to shoot him with the weapon.
Before being shot to death, Dexter felt the touch of love properly for the first and last time. Harrison was asked to relocate to another town, but before doing that, he read his father’s ultimate letter addressed to Hannah.
What Can We Expect From Dexter New Blood Season 2 ?
As mentioned previously, it has officially been stated that the story is finished, and there will not be any season 2. However, they can try to make spin offs based on the lives and the routes of the other famous characters in the series.
Harrison has his problems to deal with. He is orphaned, and to make it worse, he is to blame for his father’s death.
The show gave the message that Harrison would never follow in his footsteps after witnessing his father’s ordeal, but even then, what if he awakens his dark passenger as Dexter did after killing his mother? They can figure out a storyline where he temporarily gets distracted from his moral conscience and tries to return to his more human side.
Why Has Dexter: New Blood Been Cancelled?
Although the news of the cancellation of season 2 of Dexter: New Blood has upset quite a lot of fans, the decision seems thoughtful and legit.
They terminated the first season on such a clear note that if they want to make a second season, they must come up with some other plot or change the whole track of the story.
At the end of season 1, Dexter got his hard-earned redemption when Harrison decided to end his life. Heavy significance was laid on the fact that Harrison learnt a tragic, meaningful lesson through his father’s death.
