Storyline of Shining Vale: What it able to be about?
The horror genre show introduces the story of a dysfunctional family that decides to move into a small town from a big city. They moved to a small town after a former ‘wild child’ named Patricia Phelps made a big name for herself in writing novels about raunchy female empowerment.
Patricia was suspected of having an affair with a colleague, and she was found cheating on her husband. The family moved to a certain place in that town where it had a bad history.
The family was totally unaware of everything that took place in that situation. The past of the location is linked and it is considered bad by people around them and visitors have always had a negative experience with it.
No family member was able to suspect any strange activity taking place in that house and Pat was the only one who realized that something was wrong as she was going through some strange activities.
Patt then suspected that she was either possessed or that she was going through those strange activities because she was depressed. The story proceeds by showing how Patt stayed sober for as long as 16 years but she feels that everything stays unfilled in life.
Patt has not completed her second novel, which means her professional career has been going downhill whereas she hasn’t had a good quality time with her husband for a long time.
Patt’s children have grown up to the point where they are all busy in their lives and do not want her with them. The horror experience keeps getting more intense with time as everyone starts focusing on the hauntings that follow them.
What happened at the end of Shining Vale Season 2?
The previous seventh episode of the second season was interesting and full of mysteries leading to the answers that will be given in the final eighth episode. Pat heard some whispers through the wall and got to know that Ruth is having a conversation with a woman, while the more surprising fact is that she claims to be the daughter of Ruth.
The woman then caught her, and Ruth then tried to tell everyone that Patt had lost her mind and that this was going to happen eventually.
The ending of the episode showed Pat trying her best to escape the wells where she was trapped in and was then locked up by Jake as he sealed the walls without even noticing.
Patt had nowhere to go and could be seen trapped in that situation and crying out loud for help. Patt keeps screaming for a while but Jake had his headphones on and could not hear anything at the moment.
