The crime-thriller series, “The Kidnapping Day,” centers around the father-daughter bond between Kim Myung-joon and Choi Ro-Hee. The story introduces us to our protagonists, Kim Myung-Joon and Choi Ho-Ree, who belong to a wealthy family.
Kim Myung-Joon, a kind-hearted person with a soft heart, portrays the role of a helpless father! A father, whose daughter is suffering from a deadly disease, now needs to go through a life-saving operation to return to normal life.
Situations turned worse when Kim and his wife found it difficult to gather money for their daughter’s operation, which made them even more desperate.
In such a difficult time, the wife of Kim came up with a proposal – a risky one, but which guaranteed a huge flow of money.
Kim’s wife approached Kim with the idea of kidnapping Choi Ho-Ree, a member of a wealthy family, and in return asks for ransoms, which can then be used to pay for their sick daughter’s operation! Determined to save his daughter, Kim Myung-Joon accepted the proposal.
As he approached Choi Ho-Ree’s house, in an unexpected turn of events, Kim by chance collided with none other than his target, Choi Ho-Ree herself, which later hosted Choi her memory!
Overwhelmed by the incident, Kim decides to bring the girl to his home, where eventually develops a strong Father-Daughter bond among themselves!
After losing her memory, Choi Ho-Ree starts believing Kim to be her father, the latter on the other hand vows to himself to reunite the little girl with her family members.
But, all his efforts went in vain when he could not establish contact with family members of Choi.
As curiosity slowly got the better of him, he decided to go to Choi’s home to investigate the matter. But, destiny had different plans for them! Upon reaching her home, Kim found that Choi’s parents were already dead, and now their corpse was being taken away for the last rites.
On the other side of the spectrum, Choi Ho-Ree now uncovers the string of lies Kim has been telling her and soon realizes that he is not her biological father, and that Kim had been lying to her about their real identity all this time.

What Happened at the End of The Kidnapping Day Season 1?
The Kidnapping Day Season 1 has to date released a total of seven episodes. Episode 8 is scheduled to release on 11 October, 2023.
In the episode 7 of the series, we see Choi Ho-Ree insisting on Kim to make a call to Choi Taek-Kyun, to come to a negotiation price, in exchange of Choi to return to her family.
When Choi Taek-Kyun talks to Ho-Ree regarding the same, she promises him to make him her guardian if he helps her in executing the plan! The story furthers, and Mo Eun enters the scene.

On the other hand, when Jaden finds out that Kim had contacted Taek-Kyun, he gets furious and attempts to shoot Kim. To save Kim, Ho-Ree confesses to Jaden that how they carved out a plan, and Taek-Kyun helped them in the same.
The kidnapper calls again, and while Jaden is sure that he has understood who the culprit is – she starts speaking! But, to everyone’s surprise, it’s not Hye-eun. So, who is the kidnapper?
