Be Melodramatic Season 2 Storyline: What Would It Be Able to Be About?
The world of melodrama sees our three best friends struggling through their lives in their thirties, with each of the main leads having difficulties of their own. Jin Joo works as a freelance screenwriter, who submits a screenplay about three women in their thirties (reflecting the series itself), while being snubbed by her superiors due to her adamant behavior of sticking to the stories she writes.
Eun Jung, who is mourning the loss of her better half to cancer, struggles with feelings of grief. She sets up a coping mechanism in which she talks to her late fiancé while staring into thin air, which gives her the essence of his presence even after his departure. Apart from which, the third member of the trio, Han Joo, is a single mother who struggles to balance her job and her five-year-old.
Things take a turn after Jin Joo is terminated from her job due to being blunt and inflexible in her choices with her superiors. Jin Joo receives a call regarding her screenplay, “It Gets Better When You Turn Thirty,” from Beom-Soo, with a budding romance between the producer and writer as they were both drawn to each other with every meeting.
Eun Jung is also gearing up to produce a documentary on a second-tier actress and her college friend, Lee So Min. Han Joo is greeted by her new employee, Chu Jae Hoon. How the series progresses with these storylines and how our main leads deal with every hurdle that comes their way, along with the introduction of various other characters with their lives being explored, forms the basic crust of the series.
What Happened at the End of Be Melodramatic Season 1?
With the series coming to an end in Jin Joo’s screenplay and evidently for the viewers of the series as well, she explains every scenario to Beom Soo, who is dissatisfied with an open ending but complies as it makes for the most meaningful end.
A year later, with reviews not providing a favorable result for the series, Jin Joo remains strong in her pursuit of making a beloved drama. She also gets a contract to work on two more dramas with Beom Soo.
Eun Jung decides to move to Europe for filming another documentary after being inspired by Director Kim, while also making her peace with Hong Dae, promising to see him again when her time comes and thus bidding farewell to him with a smile. Han Joo meets with her ex and resolves matters with him once and for all.
