In the year 2023, Han Jun-hee is grieving in sorrow over the loss of her fiancé, Gu Yeon-jun, who died in a plane crash. When Han Jun Hee receives flowers on her birthday, she begins to suspect that her deceased boyfriend may still be alive somewhere nearby.

Later, she receives a photo of three young individuals from an unknown source, one of whom resembles her late boyfriend, and another who resembles her. Jun-hee starts investigating about the mysteries of these anonymous packages and her lookalike, with another peculiar package sent to Jun-Hee.

Kwon Min-Ju, a timid and blushful high school student, befriends her crush in 1998, but she soon experiences heartbreak. Playing the tape player, Jun-Hee received in the mysterious package causes her to miraculously enter Min-Ju’s body.

Han Jun-hee inexplicably returns to 1998 and awakens in the body of Kwon Min-ju, after Min-ju was a victim of a car accident and wakes up in a hospital.

It is in high school that she meets a charismatic and charming student named Nam Si-heon, who eerily resembles her deceased lover. She also makes friends with Si-heon’s best friend, Jung In-gyu, who has a crush on Min-ju.

While trying to figure out the purpose of her time travel and stop a disaster from occurring in the past, Jun-hee falls in love with Si-heon and must decide whether to pursue those feelings or not, contemplating between her past and present self.

What Happened at the End of A Time Called You Season 1?

The ending of season one discloses that Si-Heon was behind all the planning, where one of his legs was damaged in the accident.

Si-Heon meets Jun Hee in the present and reveals everything to her, both of whom pledge to alter the course of the story and let Min Ju, along with In Gyu, live in 1998.

Chan Yeong kills Si Heon in 2023 and goes after Hun Hee, and after losing his love again, he travels back into his brother’s body to change everything in his favor once and for all.

Jun-hee vows to change everything about the past. Things get complicated when Jun Hee gets stuck in Min ju’s body, and the latter finds it difficult to cope with Jun Hee’s personality and fails to match up to her quirks, which is soon realized by Si Heon as well.

Frustrated by this, she attempts to end her life, but is saved by Jun-hee by changing the past, which would have an adverse effect on the present. With full knowledge of this fact, she ends her time in 1998 and requests In Gyu to destroy the cassette to avoid any further mishaps.

Thus, returning to her timeline with the cassette destroyed along with her memories vanishing as the time she spent in Min Ju’s body fades away.

With all the time travel mishaps and events, the culprits, Chan Yeong responsible for the mayhem and chaos caused are taken into custody, In-Gyu is saved from imprisonment, and Min-ju’s attempt at ending her own life was averted by the actions of Jun-hee.
