What Is The Storyline Of Futurama

On par with The Simpsons, Futurama is a sit-com, sci-fi American animated series set in the near future, in the year 2999. The story starts when Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery man, accidentally falls into a cryogenic pod while on the job and gets frozen on January 1, 2000.

He is revived 1000 years later, on the same date of 2999. A lot of time has passed since then, and it is confusing for Fry when his only descendant and his faraway cousin, Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth, adopt him. He is 160 years old, and he founded Planet Express Inc to fund his experiments.

Planet Express is a cargo company that delivers interplanetary packages. Fry gets a job in this company and starts working with his newfound friends, which include Leela and Bender, a robot.

Phillip J. Fry, who struggles to form coherent sentences and always has his attempts at profundity fly back in his face, is now a group member. Other members include Turanga Leela, a misfit among misfits who, when she is not shunning Fry, is in charge of a spacecraft between planets and contemplating her own ancestry.
