When Is Welcome to Samdal-ri Season 2 Coming Out (Release Date)

Welcome to Samdal-ri Season 1 is currently under production. We have only two episodes, which aired on December 2, 2023, and December 3, 2023. Season 1 is supposed to have 16 episodes and will finish airing on January 21, 2024.

Storyline of Welcome to Samdal-ri Season 2: What it able to be about?

Once upon a time, there lived two childhood friends, Jo Yong Pil and Jo Sam Dal. Jo Yong Pil dreamed of becoming a weather forecaster after losing his mother to a mistaken weather report. He was determined to protect the elders of his hometown.

However, his passion for accuracy made him a stubborn troublemaker at work, always ready to argue with his boss. On the other hand, Jo Sam Dal, now known as Jo Eun Hye in Seoul, aimed to leave the small town of Samdal-ri which is located in Jeju Island and make it big in the fashion photography industry.

After years of hard work, she finally succeeded, but everything came crashing down in the blink of an eye. So, she went back to Samdal-ri, where people still called her Sam Dal. Although the two friends drifted apart because of an incident, their affection for each other never died. Now, they have a chance to rekindle their friendship. Let’s see what happens next!

What happened at the end of Welcome to Samdal-ri Season 1?

Our Ending explanation is based on the last two episodes released of Welcome to Samdal-ri Season 1. “ Welcome Back to Me’ is such a mood. It portrays self-love, and that’s what our protagonist, Jo Sam Dal, is looking for.

To trace back to her roots in her small town and forget about her past failure as a photographer (she was wrongly accused by her assistant of bullying, which made the news and ended her career as a fashion photographer, as shown in episode 2).

Initially, in episode 1, it is revealed that she and her two sisters fled their residence in Seoul in order to escape the reporters and let the matter resolve itself. There is also confusion about Sam Dal and Yong Pil’s relationship as they had turned from friends to lovers, but who broke up with whom remains a mystery.

The two estranged friends soon have an awkward interaction, and at one point, Yong Pil saves Sam Dal from falling into the water, but he falls instead, and Sam Dal has to rescue him.

The episode ends with Sam Dal’s mom finding out about Sam Dal’s scandal and a flashback of the two young friends. It is also revealed that though Yong Pil and Sam Dal had grown apart, Yong Pil still supported her and her work.

What will be going to happen in Season 2 with expectations and spoilers?

A lot can be expected from Welcome to Samdal-ri Season 2. If the main couple doesn’t get together this season, they will get together in Season 2.

Sam Dal will step into her career in photography (maybe not go for fashion, but something related to art, wildlife, or just capturing the beauty of Samdal-ri and Jeju Island.) Yong Pil will be able to fulfill his dream and accept his mom’s death.

Sam Dal will not use an alias for herself. She would use her true identity to get back to her career, and probably the assistant who wrongly accused Sam Dal would either confess herself or get snitched on, and Sam Dal’s scandal would be resolved.
