When is Elsbeth Season 2 coming out?

Storyline of Elsbeth: What is it able to be about?
Elsbeth is the second spin-off of the hit series The Good Wife. Unlike the precedent political drama, this series is a police procedural drama focusing on the recurring characters from the original series. The premise is set after The Good Wife and The Good Fight series.
Elsbeth Tascioni after her prosperous career in Chicago, sets foot in New York City. The astute attorney, while being autistic, unconventional, and offbeat, made a successful career in her job.
Now in New York City, she will use her unique point of view to observe and detect criminals alongside the NYPD. She is appointed to oversee a monitorship or consent decree after some controversial unlawful arrest.
Upon entering New York Elsbeth is stunned by the big city’s Empire State Building and the caricature artists. She meddles in the works of the NYPD as an outside observer. However, everyone in the department is not too thrilled.
What happened at the end of Elsbeth Season 1?
Season 1 of Elsbeth is currently ongoing so we can not let out what will happen at the end of season 1. Till then read this short recap to get some ideas about the series. In the series, Elsbeth is tasked as an outside observer to the NYPD by the US Department of Justice. The task is a part of the Consent Decree in a doubtful arrest case.
On the stage, an undergraduate acting student, Olivia, is stabbed. However, it was the final scene of Professor Alex Modarian’s play. Alex, not long before the play ends, enters the dressing room and swaps the pills in Olivia’s purse.
After the play ends, Olivia with her bloody body confronts Alex for her “one-liner”. She threatens to complain to the Dean for sleeping with his students. Olivia told him to send the keys to her apartment immediately.
However, Alex didn’t return but broke into her apartment that night. Olivia was barely alive after taking the pill. He swaps the pill once again and suffocates her to death. He used her finger to open her laptop and searched for suicide-related topics. Alex then cloned the sim card on her phone, leaving the dead body.
A few scenes later, Elsbeth arrives outside Olivia’s place. She meets Officer Kaya Blanke and asks to meet Detective Smullen about her job. However, Smullen was kinda disturbed by her presence and called Wagner.
On the other hand, she took a look through her medicine cabinet and started observing many pieces of evidence. She found a teeth whitener and spotted an empty diaphragm case.
She immediately reveals it might not be a suicide case. Smullen calls her to wait outside. In the next scene, Elsbeth runs into Alex who is talking with other students about her losing the cast. She rode the elevator with him and asked if anybody wanted her dead.
Wagner informs Smullen that the case was dismissed as suicide as the medical examiner looked after the matter as a murder. Wagner even orders to look after Elsbeth.
Elisabeth arrived at Alex’s acting class and watched him talk to Lana and other students. She met and asked some questions which followed her question about what kind of deodorant he uses.
She asked about the message with two spaces after the period which is usually used by older generations. When she left Elsbeth heard about his call mentioning Lana.
Alex handed a note from a stalker named Trevor when Smullen and Kaya arrived at Alex’s office. They led the investigation with two spaces after the periods.
Elsbeth confronts Lana in the dressing room, doubting the same student who called Alex. She asked if Lana was dating Alex. Lana denied it and said she never dated just to get a role. Kaya looked into a syllabus of them and found the two spaces after a period. They doubted Alex sleeps with different students each semester.
They met Beatrice, probably the student Alex slept in the previous semester. She too denied it and asked for proof.
Elsbeth points out some same spelling errors and suspects Alex wrote the messages and copied Olivia’s SIM Card. However, Alex brings out another person named Todd who writes for him. He uses the Old Irish Deodorant. It came out that he was with Olivia and DNA reports were the proof.
Later, it turns out he only copies and pastes Alex’s syllabi. Elsbeth asks Wagner if he found the SIM card reader on Todd because he was not the killer.
Elisabeth brings cookies to Alex while Kaya tells them they found a warrant for searching Todd’s apartment. He overheard that they couldn’t find the sim reader there.
Alex rushed to see Todd in the control room. He runs to the dressing room where he puts the sim reader in Todd’s bag. However, Wagner, Smullen and other police were there to catch him.
Wagner thanked Elsbeth for all the hard work besides doubling her. She got the job permanently. After learning that Elsbeth was thrilled to work with them.

As of now Season 1 of Elsbeth is ongoing therefore we can not predict what will happen next in Season 2. The assumption will be added in this section when the series ends.
