Dr. Stone is one of the most popular Japanese anime shows, having just concluded its second season in March. The series is based on the same-named Japanese manga that debuted on TMS Entertainment in 2019.
After over 3,700 years of unexpected petrification, Senku Ishigami, a genius, and the brilliant individual do everything to reconstruct civilization. The series premiered on a variety of networks, including SUN, TBC, KBS, and BS 11.
While the science may not always add up, it is unnecessary when the plot is so compelling. There are numerous mysteries that have been left hanging over the course of the last two seasons, but thankfully, more should be answered in Season 3, which was confirmed in a new trailer. Here are some things to look forward to in Season 3 of Dr. Stone.
Dr. Stone Previous Season Recap
Dr. Stone is set 3700 years in the future and chronicles the world’s petrification as a result of unusual life. However, Senku Ishigami, a 15-year-old genius, awoke from his profound slumber and began studying petrification.
Six months after his resurrection, his best friend, Taiju, awoke as well as a result of the nitric acid. The two continued their research into petrification in order to develop a chemical containing nitric acid capable of quickly reviving anyone.
The trio quickly resurrects Tsukasa Shishio, a well-known high-school martial artist, and Yuzuriha Ogawa, Taiju‘s crush and classmate. The four then collaborate to bring additional people back to life. However, Tsukasa quickly displays his worldview, resurrecting only the young.
He even smashed old sculptures, believing that resurrecting people would reintroduce conflict and violence to this primal world. However, Senku desired to resurrect every single person. Additionally, Senku has the information necessary to construct scientific weaponry. As a result, Tsukasa assassinated Senku in order to prevent him from becoming an impediment in the future.
Senku, however, averted death despite a fatal blow to the neck from Tsukasa. The young genius sends his associates to spy on Tsukasa and convince him of his death. Senku comes across a tribe of people while exploring the stone realm. He intends to construct the Kingdom of Science in that location.
Initially, the villagers maintained a safe distance from the genius. However, they quickly become friends with Senku, who eventually becomes the village’s head. Senku later discovers that the inhabitants of Ishigami village are actually grandchildren of his father and his partners, who were in space at the time of the petrification.
Senku and his Kingdom of Science are responsible for numerous scientific inventions, including generators, electricity, light, cola, ramen, and the Katana. Then they invent autos in order to destabilize Tsukasa’s dominion. Additionally, with the assistance of Taiju and Yuzuriha, Senku rallied a large number of Tsukasa’s troops to his cause.
Senku not only defeated Tsukasa with his science throughout the duel. However, he also assisted in reviving his younger sister. However, one of Tsukasa’s men, Hyoga, rebelled against the martial artist and inflicted a fatal wound on him. Tsukasa is placed in cryogenic sleep by Senku until he discovers a means to heal him. Senku and his crew embark on a new adventure in search of the truth about petrification.
Dr. Stone Season 2‘s climax struck an emotional chord with the audience. Senku was driven to petrify his buddy Tsukasa when the situation became unfavorable. Senku pledges to unearth the secret of widespread petrification that existed approximately 3700 years ago.
