When Alap and Shruti set out to visit Shruti’s maternal grandfather in Anandagarh, they had no idea they would become interested in a treasure hunt and deciphering clues. At least, that is what the viewer believes. The innocent Alap, who is overjoyed to receive talim from Shruti’s singer mother, does seem to have a plan as the series progresses. However, he, too, seems perplexed by the presence of another individual trailing them.
These multiple perspectives on a treasure hunt contribute nicely to the momentum of an engrossing thriller. It is neither excessively racy nor veering off course. There are also several scenes of relief. However, although the first scene establishes a sense of mystery, the events of episode one take a little longer to unfold.
