Schmigadoon! Storyline: What would it be able to be About?
Schmigadoon follows doctors Melissa and Josh as they embark on a backpacking trip to find love and stop quarreling. They come across the magical town of Schmigadoon. After a happy ending and getting married, they return to New York.
However, they cannot fit into their boring life back in New York so they search for Schmigadoon again. But this time they come across Schmicago. Schmicago is stuck in the 1960s and 1970s. They embark on a new journey to find happiness.
What happened at the end of Schmigadoon! season 2?
Josh and Melissa find a new magical town of Schmicago. Although they come across some people they had met in Schmigadoon, they now have different personas and do not remember Josh, Melissa or the old town. Schmicago is trapped in the 1960s and we get to see the dark and sexy musicals of that period.
However, Josh gets in trouble the very first day of their time in Schmicago. When Josh accidentally enters a dressing room, he finds a dancer, Elsie Vale dead. When Josh and Melissa attempt to drive away, they find the Leprechauns have disabled their car. And they cannot leave without finding a happy ending.
Now, Melissa must find out the real killer as Josh gets arrested. Melissa hires Bobby Flanagan as Josh’s lawyer and goes undercover as a cabaret dancer. Meanwhile, Josh meets his hippie cellmate Topher. Melissa finds a clue in Elsie’s date book about Quick Street.
As Elsie follows the clue she finds Elsie’s father, Dooley Blight, who was wrongly convicted for his wife’s murder. It turns out that Octavius Kratt is the real murderer who also killed Elsie. Josh gets acquitted, thanks to Bobby. However, Kratt now plots to marry Melissa and kill Josh.
Josh and Melissa must help others in Schmicago to find happiness before they can leave. They act as matchmakers for Jenny and Topher. Melissa becomes the headliner at the cabaret and Josh becomes the leader of the tribe.
They gain a lot of fame which makes Jenny and Topher feel betrayed. So they kick them out of their apartment. Meanwhile, Melissa attempts to lure Kratt into her dressing room so that Dooley can take his revenge. But the plan backfires and Kratt forcefully abducts Melissa and proposes to her.
He threatens to kill Josh if she denies. Kratt instructs Rivera to kill Josh. Dooley, Jenny, Topher, and the tribe go to save Melissa and Josh. After their happy ending, Josh and Melissa are ready to leave Schmicago. Back in New York, Josh happily teaches his medical students and Melissa finally becomes pregnant.

As if Broadway were transported to us. My children are theater children, and this performance gave them a new appreciation for style and art form. Selling it. And the reuse of the ensemble is nothing short of brilliant! There will be a third season! This show has already been viewed and rewatched three times.
