Chico misunderstands a white guy who complained about the food to be the critic and treats Ella badly but when he finds out it was an Asian woman who loved her food, he regrets it and further becomes jealous when he sees Raymond with Ella.

After one more instance of Chico insulting Ella, because her name was on the headlines for Hain as it made Asia’s best list, Ella quits then and there realizing how misogynistic and non-sensible Chico was.

In the end, Ella is left with a choice to either go off with Raymond to Singapore and be a head chef there or stay at Hain. Ella chooses to stay as the head chef of Hain and she makes the dish she has from the very first episode but in her style as the opening dish for the new Hain.
