Mech Cadet Yu, the American comic book written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Takeshi Miyazawa, has been adapted into an animated Netflix show.

Stanford Yu has always dreamed of becoming a robo pilot, ever since he promised his dying dad that he would become one and make him proud. But after failing the passing exam again and again, this dream of Stanford seems impossible until he meets a Robo and bonds with him.

Robos, mechanized aliens, have been a common entity ever since the Earth was attacked by Sharg. They are driven by humans and help eliminate the threats sent by Sharg.

Becoming a robo pilot might not even be what Stanford actually wants with his life. But he feels like becoming one will make him feel closer to his dad.

His mother, Dolly, though, has always supported him in whatever the young man wanted with his life. She is a very caring and protective mother, and she helps Stanford get through all the trauma from the past.

Stanford meets another robo pilot, Frank, who has had a prosthetic leg ever since he lost his real one in childhood. But after a fierce battle with the alien, Frank’s prosthetic legs are damaged, and life takes him on a difficult decision path again.

What happened at the end of Mech Cadets season 1?
