Genshin Impact Eula Guide: Best Build & Team – December 2023

Genshin Impact Eula Guide Best Build & Team

Eula is the third five-star Cyro character in the game, joining Ganyu and Qiqi. Five-star Cryo characters have a history of performing exceptionally well in our Genshin Impact tier list, and Eula is no exception — her capacity to deal huge physical damage has earned her a slot on the top tier.

Eula, as a Cryo Claymore user, can rival Diluc in terms of raw physical damage output, but she’s more difficult to play because her skills necessitate a specific team composition. She is a quick-moving character who relies on stacks to deal damage, and she benefits from enhancements to her physical damage and attack speed. It’s a wise idea to put her in a team that can give debuffs to help her scale better as a damage dealer.

Eula’s Attack

Normal Attack

Perform up to five consecutive strikes.

Charged Attack

Drains stamina over time to perform continuous slashes. At the end of the sequence, perform a more powerful slash.

Plunging Attack

Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging enemies along the path and dealing AOE DMG upon impact.

Eula’s Abilities

Eula is a Cryo Claymore user who deals physical damage. Her powers revolve on amassing stacks of an ability called Grimheart which increases her protection and allows her to keep chipping away at foes’ health. At the duration’s end, those stacks are turned into a whirlwind of Cryo damage that surrounds her, further reducing the enemy’s resistances.

Her ultimate, Glacial Illumination makes a sword made out of light which floats around her. During this period, every strike or ability Eula uses increases to the sword’s stacks. As with the elemental skill, this elemental burst finally bursts, inflicting physical damage on anyone in its path.

Icetide Vortex (Elemental Skill)

  • Press: Quickly slashes, causing Cryo damage. When it hits damage to an opponent, Eula earns a stack of Grimheart that stacks up to thrice. Each of these stacks can be acquired just once every 0.3 seconds.
  • Grimheart: Eula’s defence and resistance to interruption are boosted.
  • Hold: Eula slashes forward with her blade, causing AOE Cryo damage to opponents in front of her and consuming all the stacks of Grimheart she owns. Each stack of Grimheart is turned into an Icewhirl Brand, dealing Cryo damage to adjacent opponents and reducing their physical and cryo resistances. Multiple hits will not stack this effect, but will prolong its duration.

Glacial Illumination (Elemental Burst)

  • Eula brandishes her greatsword, inflicting Cryo damage on nearby opponents and summoning a Lightfall Sword for a brief duration.
  • When Eula’s normal strikes, elemental skills, and elemental bursts inflict damage on opponents, they charge the Lightfall Sword, which gains an energy stack once every 0.1 seconds.
  • When the Lightfall Sword’s duration expires, it will explode dramatically, causing physical damage to nearby opponents.
  • This damage is proportional to the number of energy stacks accumulated by the Lightfall Sword.
  • If Eula is killed or flees the battlefield, the Lightfall Sword will explode instantly.

Ascension 1 – Wellspring of War-Lust (Passive 1)

  • When Eula’s normal attacks land a critical hit, the cooldown of Icetide Vortex is reduced by 0.3 seconds. This effect occurs approximately once every 0.1 second.

Ascension 4 – Roiling Rime (Passive 2)

  • When two stacks of Grimheart are expended upon activating Icetide Vortex’s Holding Mode, a Lightfall Sword Remnant is formed that explodes instantly, dealing 50% of the basic physical damage inflicted by a Lightfall Sword created by Glacial Illumination.

Unlocked Aristocratic Introspection (Passive 3)

  • When Eula creates materials for character talent, she has a 10% chance of receiving double the product.

Weapon Options

When it comes to weapons, nothing is truly shocking. Obviously, the standard 5-Star choices are excellent here, and Prototype Archaic is arguably the greatest 4-Star Claymore.

Skyward Pride (5-Star) – Increases damage by between 8% and 16%. When an elemental burst, normal, or charged attack is used, it generates a vacuum blade that does 80-160 percent of the attack’s damage to opponents in its path. This vacuum blade lasts 20 seconds or eight vacuum blades.

Wolf’s Gravestone (5-Star) – Increases damage by between 8% and 16%. When an elemental burst, normal, or charged attack is used, it generates a vacuum blade that does 80-160 percent of the attack’s damage to opponents in its path. This vacuum blade lasts 20 seconds or eight vacuum blades.

Prototype Archaic (4-Star) – On hit, normal or charged attacks have a 50% chance of inflicting an additional 240-480 percent attack damage on opponents within a short area of effect. This can occur only once every 15 seconds.

Best Eula Artifacts

While we do not yet know which artefact sets Eula scales off of, we may make an educated estimate as to which ones would benefit her. Although Gladiator’s Finale is the default artefact set for almost all claymore users, you can also mix and match with two from that and two from Bloodstained Chivalry.

Gladiator’s Finale –

(2) ATK +18%. (4) If the wielder of this artifact set uses a sword, claymore, or polearm, increases their Normal Attack damage by 35%.
