About Garbage
Shirley Manson, a Scottish singer, has been a part of the band ever since its inception. Garbage was the band that performed and co-produced the James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough (1999). In 1993, the city of Madison, Wisconsin, became the birthplace of the American rock band Garbage.
It was supported by a string of increasingly popular singles that were released between 1995 and 1996, including “Stupid Girl” and “Only Happy When It Rains.” Beautiful Garbage peaked at number four on the charts in the United States, becoming their highest-charting album to date. Garbage went their separate ways behind the scenes while recording their fourth album, Bleed Like Me. The band’s hiatus was interrupted in 2007 when they started working on an album of their greatest songs called Absolute Garbage.
