When Is Doctor Who Season 14 Episode 1 Coming Out?
BBC confirmed the release date of Season 14 Episode 1 soon after the release of Season 14 Episode 0, giving us a reveal of what Episode 14 has in store for us. According to the BBC, we will be getting Episode 1 of Season 14 in May 2024. This season is going to create HISTORY!
BBC also revealed that Doctor Who’s incarnation this time will be Ncuti Gatwa (Known for his recent famous character Eric in the show Sex Education). He would be the franchise’s first-ever black Doctor! Not only that, he is the first black and openly queer actor to play Doctor. Thus, we know for a fact that this season is going to be a hit!
Storyline of Doctor Who: What it able to be about?
The history of Doctor Who dates all the way back to 1963, when it was first launched as just a sci-fi television series. The basic plot revolves around The Doctor, who can definitely pass a human but is actually an extraterrestrial being from the species called Time Lord. He travels all over the universe in his spaceship, which can sail through time as well.
The spaceship’s name is TARDIS (Fun Fact: It looks like a British Police Box). While he is on the mission, he saves lives (living up to the ‘doctor’ name there), liberating enslaved people, punishing the oppressors, and fighting unworldly creatures who can be a threat to the entire universe.
The Doctor often uses the most obscure items to solve the missions and is accompanied by multiple people from the Earth. ( another fun fact: Doctor Who loves the Earth.) Doctor Who can never die; being a Time Lord, he can regenerate damaged body parts and incarnate into many humanoid forms.
Whenever Earth is threatened, we see a collaboration between the Doctor and the international military task force UNIT. Some of the recurring enemies we can tell you are Daleks, their creator Davros, the Cybermen, and the renegade Time Lord the Master.
What happened at the end of Doctor Who Season 13 ?
Season 13 was revolving around the event called ‘Flux.’ It is a wave of energy which is all set to destroy the world. The Doctor (Jodie Whittaker, the first woman to play the role of Doctor), Yaz (played by Mandip Gill), and Dan (played by John Bishop) are trying their level best to find out as much as they can about the Flux.
In the very end, the Flux does cause severe damage to the universe but doesn’t entirely wipe it off from existence. Planets are in a bad condition as they have been attacked by alien armies as well as the Flux.
However, everything has a somewhat good outcome. The Doctor and her friends are able to restore whatever they can, and they leave for new missions. However, many questions are left unanswered.

Season 14 Episode 0 named “ The Church on Ruby Road” reveals many characters, which we can see in the upcoming episodes.
A character called Ruby Sunday is revealed, and we feel that she is going to be one of the Doctor’s friends who accompanies him on all his missions. When she was a baby, she was abandoned and left in the cold snow.
The episode deals with the secret of her birth and goblins! Yes, goblins! This gives us a clear hint that this time, Doctor Who will be more than just extraterrestrial beings.
