When Is Dungeon Meshi Season 2 Coming Out?
Delicious in Dungeon season 1 anime premiered on January 4, 2024. It has currently aired three episodes. Season 1 will end with 24 episodes.

Storyline of Dungeon Meshi: What it able to be about?
As mentioned earlier Delicious in Dungeon is based on a manga of the same name by author and illustrator Ryuko Kui. Serialised in Enterbrain’s seinen manga magazine Harta, the manga series just ended in September 2023.
It started publishing the manga in 2014 and continued for 9 years. Yen Press licensed the manga in English in North America.
In the fantasy game world of Dungeon Exploration, guild members go on their tasks to raid dungeons. They often go to find the Golden Kingdom in the hope of treasure in that dungeon.
The knight named Laios and his guild members set out to find the treasure. They figured it was buried deep in the graveyard of a small village. These adventurers somehow end up fighting a flame dragon. However, they had to teleport after the dragon ate Laios’s little sister, Farin.
They left their equipment behind and now they are penniless. Two members left the group leaving the halfling named Chilchuck and an elven spell caster Marcille with swordsman Laois.
Now, Laois and his team have to go again to the dungeon immediately to save his sister before the dragon digests her. They have to figure out the food, weapons and many more.
While they have no money left, Laois convinces them to eat the dungeon monsters. The remaining two reluctantly agreed but as expected it tasted really bad. They went to the first floor of the dungeon.
They met a dwarf named Senshi there. He has 10 years of experience in cooking monsters and harvesting food. He joined the team instantly and their journey began.
What happened at the end of Dungeon Meshi Season 1?
Delicious in Dungeon season 1 is still ongoing. The anime just released episode 3 where they are facing Armour monsters.
Episode 1 starts with Laios’s sister getting eaten by the dragon. They decided to feed themselves by eating monsters. Luckily they met Senshi, a veteran cook who saved their disaster food.
In episode 2, their food journey continued with Basilisk and harvesting Mandrake. Lastly, hot oil traps and cooking bat meat Kakiage.
In episode 3, Laios recalls the time he got his sword. Three years earlier, he was killed by a living Armour Monster but resurrected. However, he got to keep his Armour Sword.
Now that they are in the same place, they are surrounded by many Armours. Laios noticed that one large Armour was guarding a giant egg, it destroyed his sword. Just as Marcille suspected they are actually not monsters themselves but shells of dozens of molluscs.
Laios defeats the big Armour and then distracts the small ones to make an escape route. Senshi removes all the small armour from the large one and then cooks it in various dishes.
Laios takes the large Armour sword but there is one small monster stuck in the sword’s handle.

What will happen in Season 2 spoilers and expectations?
As season 1 has not ended yet there is a good chance that it will end with the fight against the dragon. The adventure will end in the abandoned orc village. It was the place where the Red dragon was last spotted.
Laois will seek one last chance to save his sister no matter how much risk is involved. He is determined to resurrect her from the dragon’s stomach whether she is alive or not.
There is no easy way out. But if he defeats it there is a probability Senshi will make a menu out of it.
In season 2, we expect Falin to be resurrected. With her there will probably be more new characters or maybe new enemies. Stepping this aside, the team will definitely have some more food adventures to follow.
