What Is The Storyline Of Dark Gathering Series?
This story revolves around a freshman in college named Keitaro Gentago, and the story’s main plot is based on supernatural activities and events, which makes it more interesting. Scared of ghosts and spirits, Keitaro ironically attracts supernatural entities through his unknown ability.
Being affected by this power, Keitaro and his friend’s condition worsens as they are concerned, making them shut themselves off from the entire world. His social skills deteriorate as time passes; everyone he speaks to seems to notice his low demeanour.
Eiko Houzuki, one of Keitaro’s old childhood friends, tried to bring back the everyday life Keitaro once had. She had devised a plan where she asked Keitaro to teach her clever cousin Yayoi Houzuki. Surprisingly enough, Yayoi possessed supernatural abilities like Keitaro, but the main difference was she was ready to face them anytime.
Yayoi is in pursuit of finding her mother’s soul, and on her journey, she drags Keitaro to different haunted places, trying to find her loved one. On this weird and twisted journey, they both have created a pact where Keitaro will help her achieve what she wants; in return, she will help him break his curse.

The car doors are opened so the spirit can be captured while handing a plushie to Keitaro to catch it. After a successful hunting session, Yaoyi and Eiko drop Keitaro home, but soon, he realises that a spirit has followed him home and ends up getting strangled by her hair.
Yaoyi notices that they capture a usual wandering spirit, different from the one they want. The spirit had cast a spell which created an illusion to confuse them. After hastily reaching Keitaro’s place, Yaoyi, using her abilities and intelligent strategy, manages to fight and capture the spirit.
Being free from his grasp, Keitaro is not content as he could not provide enough help to the team. The end of Season 1 of this anime is unknown and will be disclosed as we move forward into the storyline.
