Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha Season 2 is set to release soon, fans are eagerly anticipating its return. Okemaru’s very own ‘The Dreaming Boy is a Realist’ is a Rom-Com (Romance & Comedy) series published in June 2020 as a light novel under HJ Bunko.

Wataru Sajo, a high schooler ends up finding himself in a complicated situation with his classmate Aika Natsukawa, as he slowly discovers his secret infatuation for her. His new feelings lead him into getting rejected numerous times, and each occasion makes him fall harder.
The protagonist while he obsesses more about her, he gets hit by the football which bursts his bubble of thought. From then he starts having second thoughts and feels he does not deserve a girl like Aika.
Since then, Wataru started distancing himself from Aika which made her concerned. Wataru stopped conversing and hanging out with her and even physically distanced himself from her.
This affected her badly, one of her friends even made her realise that Wataru was the person with whom she spent all her time with, making her feel even worse yet alone. Akia tries to approach Wataru, making him push her away even more. Akia starts feeling jealous when she sees her friend Rena, consoling the heartbroken boy.
