Cyberpunk Edgerunners revived CDPR’s struggling role-playing game and laid the groundwork for numerous Easter eggs to be unlocked in future Cyberpunk 2077 releases. Although many fans are still hoping for a second season, no one connected to the anime has ever made any kind of hint about one.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 Storyline: What Would It Be Able to Be About?
In Night City, a future metropolis in California, dreams are bound to expire. Living in the city’s slums as a teenager, David Martinez is attempting to accomplish his mother’s lifelong dream of becoming the head of Arasaka, the largest security company in the world.
To do this, he studies at the esteemed Arasaka Academy as his mother toils nonstop to support the family.
David discovers Sandevistan cyberwar, a prosthetic that gives its bearer superhuman speed after an encounter with a street gang leaves his life in ruins.
Driven by fury, David inserts the gadget into his back and utilises it to avenge his abuser. He loses all chance of ever making his mother proud when he is ejected from the academy for this.
The stunning data thief Lucyna “Lucy” Kushinada offers to work with David after observing his newly acquired skills, giving him a path to redemption. But David is exposed to the world of Edgerunners—cyborg criminals who will break any law to get money—through his friendship with Lucy.
David is willing to take great risks in his struggle to survive within a corrupt system, even though Edgerunners frequently perish if the cyber war does not take their minds first.
What Happened at the End of Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 1?
David, Rebecca, and Falco are pursuing Arasaka and Militech through Night City in Cyberpunk Edgerunners at the end, but David is slipping into cyberpsychosis.
Doc gave him certain immunosuppressants, but the adverse effects will pile up. But as long as they can save Lucy, David is willing to take any risks.
In another scene, when Kiwi seals the deal with Faraday, he shoots her because he believes that no one else should be aware of the cyberskeleton.
Before she passes away, she gives David and the others the coordinates of Faraday’s AV, which they attack right once and reach the summit of the Arasaka Tower.
David is out of time because he is on his last vial of immunosuppressants. After taking down Arasaka’s guards and breaking Faraday’s leg, he manages to get Lucy back. After that, Arasaka unleashes the fabled Adam Smasher to defeat David.
According to Smasher’s parting remarks to David, he would have made an “interesting construct.” But David doesn’t care, and Smasher sends him flying. After some time, Lucy makes her way to the moon, but without David, her dream isn’t as realised.
Though Falco’s whereabouts are still unknown, Lucy and Falco are the last two Edgerunners seen alive. Smasher managed to take off his arm, but he managed to flee with Lucy. But it’s still unclear what happened to Falco after that.

What Can We Expect from Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2?
A commonality between Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Akame ga Kill! is that most of the characters die at the end of the series. From a narrative standpoint, however, a second season of Edgerunners might address certain unresolved story issues.
Even if Lucy is able to get away, there’s no guarantee that Arasaka will give up on her. She is still in possession of important information, and the business is unlikely to overlook it. Faraday took the situation to an unmanageable level, but the storyline involving Militech, Arasaka, and the cyberskeleton was never resolved.
In addition, Lucy’s character has the potential to be developed further because she fulfilled her dream—albeit at a terrible cost. Given the amount of information that has already been revealed about Lucy’s past, a second season starring her shouldn’t be out of the question.
Even if Falco isn’t as beloved by fans as Rebecca is, knowing what happened to him would bring comfort.
