Captain Tsubasa Season 2: Junior Youth-hen Episode 1 is scheduled to be released on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. JST. Indian fans will have access to Captain Tsubasa Season 2 Episode 1 on the same day at 9:00 p.m. IST.
All successive episodes of the second season of Captain Tsubasa will be released every Sunday on the same date. Eventually, all new episodes will also be added to streaming platforms for global fans to stream.

Captain Tsubasa (キャプテン翼) is a 2018 Japanese sports anime adapted from the manga of the same name, written and illustrated by Takahashi Yoichi. Captain Tsubasa is the story of a young soccer prodigy, Tsubasa Ozihara, who, as a young child, survived a fatal hit-and-run by his soccer ball, which served as a cushion.
Tsubasa’s every day revolves around soccer and then when he was 11 years old, he transferred schools, following his mother to Nakahime, which changed his life forever.
This particular elementary school that Tsubasa transferred to was very well known for its soccer team. There, Tsubasa becomes a star due to his soccer skills among the students very quickly.
This does not go unnoticed by his former Brazilian-Japanese coach, Hongo Roberto, who had to retire due to an eye injury. He then joined the Navy, where he met Ooszora’s father, returned to Japan, and became Oozora’s Mentor.
But becoming the best player is not easy when so many people out there have talent like yours. With the guidance of his mentor and his rivals-turned-friends, Oozora is all set to compete in international matches. But participating and winning in the FIFA World Cup might not be that easy. Will Tsubasa be able to achieve his dreams?
What To Expect From Captain Tsubasa Season 2?
After a great conclusion to season one with 55 episodes that aired on April 9, 2023, fans are excited about Captain Tsubasa Season 2: Junior Youth-hen. As the name suggests, this season will adapt the Junior Youth Arc from the manga and will hopefully have much better and more fluid animation.
The first season used a lot of animation from its older version but now fans are expecting that it will have new animation since its studio has been changed.
Other than the animation, we will also expect a great story and great matches between Tsubasa and the other strong rivals he will meet. Captain Tsubasa (2018) covered chapters 1-85, the second season will hopefully pick up right from chapter 86, volume 26.

What happened at the end of Captain Tsubasa?
Captain Tsubasa (2018) is the retake of Captain Tsubasa that was released earlier in the decade. The newest Captain Tsubasa had a main storyline almost similar to the older one, with only an updated version of the animation.
At the beginning of Captain Tsubasa (2018), we meet Tsubasa Ozora, who loves to play football and just transferred to Nakahime. At his new home, instead of running and playing with the ball, he keeps dribbling it and eventually comes far from the house, where he accidentally meets the talented goalkeeper, Genzo Wakabayashi.
At the school’s football field, he sees two groups fighting over the ownership of the field. He sees that the opposing team had Genzo; this lifts Tsubasa’s fighting spirit and challenges the idea that whoever wins the soccer match will get to play on the field. And just like that, Tsubasa comes closer to his dream and his journey towards the FIFA World Cup starts.
With the first season being 55 episodes long, we met a lot of people in Tsubasa’s life; some became his rivals, while others turned to his friends, dreaming of the same dream. In the last episode, we also saw a lot of great matches. The last match showed Hyuuga also had great potential while he played against Tsubasa.

Which Studio Is Handling Captain Tsubasa?
While the first season, Captain Tsubasa, was handled by Studio David Production, it changed for the second season. And now Captain Tsubasa Season 2: Junior Youth-hen will be handled by Studio Kai, a studio known for animes like Hori-san to Miyamura-kun.
The producers for the show, however, are most likely to remain the same, i.e., TV Tokyo, though the exact news about it has not been released.

Captain Tsubasa 2018 is a remake of the classic football anime series, which debuted in 1983. Since Takahashi’s vision (story and art) have been successfully adapted into anime format, fans did not really mind that it lacked the incredibly amazing soundtrack of the original or Road to 2002.
