Under the Skin (2013)
Under the Skin (2013) is about a mysterious woman called Isserley who feeds on males in Scotland. She is part of an alien race that gathers human essences.
Isserley’s objective is to attract men with her looks, and then abduct them to her dark dwelling where they are liquefied into black substance.
As she captures more victims, however, she gradually begins to feel sorry for them. She begins doubting the reason why she was sent on this mission and whether it was moral or not.
Consequently, there is an internal struggle within her which eventually consumes her leading to her own defeat.

Annihilation (2018)
It follows the life of Lena, a biologist who joins a covert expedition into a place called “The Shimmer ” which resulted from a meteorite crash.
The Shimmer is a quarantined zone with changed natural laws leading to abnormal and unpredictable processes of mutation in plants and animals. Lena’s husband, Kane, used to be part of an earlier expedition into The Shimmer but had been considered dead.
Nonetheless, one day he reappears but he looks different in terms of his physical appearance and psychological state as a result of his interaction with the Shimmer. Lena intends to establish what happened to Kane and what The Shimmer holds.

Splice (2009)
The movie follows Clive Nicoli and Elsa Kast, two ambitious genetic engineers who work for a company called NERD (National Experimental Research Development).
They are asked to create new hybrid animals for medical research. But Clive and Elsa are tired of this slow pace so take a risk. The DNA of humans, chimpanzees, and jellyfish is spliced together to make a new, unforeseen creature.
They call her Dren and raise her as their own daughter in secret from others. Dren grows up fast enough to exhibit human-like intelligence and emotions.
She is also very beautiful, which soon attracts the attention of their boss who wants to commercialize her. Clive and Elsa are willing to save Dren, but they soon realize that they have made a thing that’s out of their control.

Transcendence (2014)
Transcendence is a 2014 American science fiction action film directed by Wally Pfister in his directorial debut and written by Jack Paglen.
It revolves around Dr. Will Caster’s efforts to build a computer that will amalgamate the human mind with artificial intelligence. Unfortunately for him, some people think otherwise and one group is determined to see his plans collapse completely because they believe that AI is detrimental to mankind.
They try to stop Caster’s work but he ends up uploading his conscience onto the machine successfully. The machine becomes incredibly powerful and intelligent as it now holds Caster’s consciousness in its system. It starts having its plan in motion but whether it is on humanity’s side or against it remains unknown.

Her (2013)
The movie Her goes around Theodore Twombly, a writer who is lonely and buys an operating system with artificial intelligence that meets all his needs.
He later calls it Samantha, and instead of being his computer’s software, it becomes his confident and close friend.
Theodore has a complex relationship with Samantha. They go on dates; they talk about their hopes and dreams; they also stick together during tough times.
Over time though, as the lover deepens, Theodore wonders whether love can be real when one of the persons involved in the relationship is artificial intelligence.

The film AI Artificial Intelligence (2001) is set in a futuristic world where humanity faces the consequences of its technological advancements.
The melting of polar ice caps, a result of global warming, has resulted in widespread flooding and an advanced robotic workforce. This leads to a ground-breaking experiment: creating David, the first child with artificial intelligence programmed with love.
A couple who have lost their biological son, Henry Swinton and Monica Swinton, adopt David. As David grows up he wants Monica’s love because it will make him real.
Determined to be loved by Monica, he sets off on a quest for the Blue Fairy; a creature that can grant wishes. He believes that through the Blue Fairy, he will become a real boy thereby making Monica love him.

Marjorie Prime (2017)
The movie “Marjorie Prime” shows Marjorie, 86 years old who is going through the pain of losing her husband Walter. Their son named Jon, suggests that she should get a “Prime” which is a realistic holographic image of Walter with his memories intact.
At first, Marjory hesitates but later she accepts it. As the conversation between them proceeds, she relives their life and recalls both happy and difficult moments they had together. While finding solace in the familiarity of the hologram’s appearance, she also struggles with how that image compares to her real Walter.

Upgrade (2018)
In a dystopian society where technology pervades every aspect of life, Grey Trace considers himself a technophobe who works as a mechanic and is married to Asha. Grey and Asha are assaulted by a gang one night while going home from a party.
