Who is Vince Young?
Born May 18,1983, Vincent Paul Young Jr is a former American Football Quarterback playing in the NFL. He was the third overall pick in the NFL 2006 draft and was drafted by the Tennessee Titans.
Often mentioned as “ the greatest quarterback in NCAA history”. His playing career saw him play 6 seasons with 5 different teams. He was the cover athlete for MADDEN NFL 08 and is often dubbed as an alleged victim of the NFL curse.
He graduated from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas, where he played for the Texas Longhorns. As a college level player GE led his team to victory over the unbeaten USC Trojans in the 2005 Rose Bowl game for the BSC National Championship.
In the 2006 NFL draft he was selected by the Tennessee Titans as the 3rd overall pick in the NFL draft and was the first quarterback to be drafted that year. Dubbed as the Top prospect during his college days , a lot was expected or if Young and the rookie delivered in everyone’s expectations in the first couple of seasons.
But soon due to continuous injuries his form deteriorated and he was replaced as a starter quarterback by Jeffrey Collins by head coach Jeff Fisher. This decision often troubled the young star who stated that he began losing his love for the game.
The quarterback was released by the Titans and joined the Philadelphia Eagles for a one year contract as a reserve player, but as experts stated that his career was over as it was, after completion of contract with the Eagles he joined Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns successively the following years to come but was waived off due to constant injuries, forcing him to retire in 2013.

Who are Vince Young’s Parents?
Vince was born to Vincent Young. Sr and Felicia young in the Hiram Clark neighborhood of Houston, Texas. Soon after his birth, his father Vincent Young Sr, was imprisoned following a robbery case and missed much of his son’s early life due to being in prison.
Without a father to show him the ropes, it would have been easy for Young’s life to spiral out of hand, as was the case in the neighborhood of Houston, where kids often got involved in gangs and other stuff like drugs, alcohol, auto thefts, etc.

The death of Steve, too, had a significant impact upon the mindset of Young who was struggling at that time and McNair’s death was one of the reasons that contributed to his loss of love for the game.

Jacksonville Jaguars, he set out without a phone with his sidearm in his hands.

Financial Problems:
Despite earning a staggering $64 million dollars in salaries, sponsorships and other endorsements, his lavish lifestyle and overspending habits caused him to default on a $1.9 million interest payday loan.
He also filed lawsuits against Major Adams, his former agent and Ronnie Peoples, a financial planner, for misappropriation of $5.4 million.

Vince Young Personal Life
Young post his retirement started working in the University of Texas as a member of Division of Diversity and Community Management, he made himself available to play for CFL team Saskatchewan Roughriders during the 2017 season but was waived off by the management following injury issues.
He lives in the Hiram Clark neighborhood of Houston Texas where he was born and spent most of his early life. He is currently serving as the assistant coach at the University of Texas.
