During the 1990s, when Mario Brothers dominated Nintendo, the then-apex video game platform, Sega Corporation, a Japanese video game company, came up with the idea of Sonic the Hedgehog as an arch-nemesis of Mario Brothers. “Just a speedy blue rodent” is what critics called Sonic.

Sonic Prime Season 4 Storyline: What Would It Be Able to Be About?
Sonic Prime Season 4 features the beloved video game character and his hedgehog friends. The show starts with a battle between Sonic and Dr. Eggman.
During the battle, Sonic destroys the Paradox Prism, which ends up wrapping reality and creates the “Shatterverse,” with alternate versions of Sonic’s friends (Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Range, and Big).
Sonic’s native place, Green Hill, becomes dull and lifeless and is called the Ghost Hill following the Prism’s shattering. Sonic is now on a mission to get the shards of the destroyed Paradox Prism back so that he can reverse the effects of the Shatterverse and revive Green Hill to its former glory.
But to do that, he needs his friends. He somehow manages to befriend the alternate versions of his friends by solving their respective problems. Sonic, in his pursuit of the shards, encounters the Chaos Council formed by different variants of Eggman.
The pursuit of the shards takes Sonic to various places such as the Boscage Maze, No Place, and Grim as he races against time to collect the shards before the Chaos Council. Along the way, Sonic is joined by his rival Shadow as they both join hands to restore Green Hill and reverse the damage caused by the Shattering of the Paradox Prism.
What Happened at the End of Sonic Prime Season 3?
The third season of the hit Netflix series saw Sonic, who was betrayed by Nine, a multiversal variant of Sonic’s friend Tails. In the finale of season 3, we see Sonic and his friends take on Nine, who attempts to harness the power of the Shatterverse.
Sonic apologizes to Nine for not appreciating his efforts in making a home for them both. Nine relents and accepts that he pushed his plans too far, but one of them must drain away the prismatic energy to save the Shatterverse.
Sonic voluntarily agrees, and Nine drains the energy of Sonic to save the realities, weakening Sonic significantly and leaving his life in balance. The Eggmen, who had aligned with Sonic to stop Nine, betray a weakened Sonic.

But their evil plans are thwarted in the unknown reaches of space. A dying Sonic is carried to Green Hills by Shadow, where the furry speedster slowly begins to recover his health.
The team celebrates, and just when everything returns back to normal, a mysterious blue shockwave announces the arrival of a new shadowy presence, indicating that the adventures of Sonic and his friends are far from over.
What Can We Expect from Sonic Prime Season 4?
Season 3 ended in a cliffhanger, with Sonic slowly recovering after he is nearly killed during the final battle for the fate of the Shatterverse. A restored Green Hill slowly helps Sonic in his recovery, but a mysterious figure lurks in the background, and his intentions do not seem noble.
With Sonic Prime Season 4 unlikely to happen, this cliffhanger could be a build-up for a whole new series of the speedy blue hedgehog.
Sonic Prime may be over, but Sonic’s story is far from over, as Sega always finds a way to bring back the beloved speedster in front of the audiences through various mediums such as video games, comics, animated series, movies, and motion pictures.
