When Is Un Professore Season 3 Coming Out? (Release Date)
The most-watched Italian series Un Professore will not stop here, the professor will return with all his students. The professor played by Alessandro Gassman himself teased a renewal on Twitter.
However, the production team did not reveal the release date yet. Rai 1 has not disclosed any information about the renewal or cancellation of the series. It seemed the series would surely come back due to its positive response from the critics.
The ratings and reception of this show are quite positive in Italy as well as abroad. If we go through the release date of the previous season it looks like season 2 came out after a gap of 2 years.
The first season came out in 2021 and the second in 2023. So we can expect Un Professore season 3 in 2025. However, some audiences also expect that season 3 will come soon in November 2024.

Storyline Un Professore Season 3: What it able to be about?
The series Un Professore or A Professor is based on the Spanish series Merli. Produced by Rai Fiction, the show’s broadcasters are Prime Time and Rai 1.
The series revolves around Dante Balestra, the philosophy professor. He returns to the Leonardo Da Vinci scientific high school after eight years. He will now take care of his son Simone in Rome as his ex-wife Florina is moving to Glasgow.
He takes his class in a non-conformist manner that the students admire. In a few days, he made a deep connection with his students including his son Simone.
It soon leads to his confusing private life entangled with his professional life. He has to face his past when an acquaintance crosses his path in his professional life.
In season 2, Dante still managed to take place in the students’ hearts including Simone and Manuel, the son of his acquaintance Anita. He teaches his brilliant philosophy at the Leonardo Da Vinci School. With his brilliant unconventional way, he solves the students’ problems including family problems and complicated love life.
This season continues with the previous students, Leo, Mateo and Laura but also introduces new characters. It introduces Nina who hides her complicated life. Viola is a disabled girl who met with a horrible accident. Rayan is a promising footballer from Africa but he is more invested in football than studying.
Lastly, Dante’s former student, Mimmo, previously ended up in juvenile prison. Dante put in his best effort and managed to give him freedom in the small corner of the school’s library. He becomes friends with Simone.
Just like the previous season, his private life also never fails to bring problems. Their problems and adventures are many but how they tackle it with Dante’s teaching and healing is the answer to follow in this series.
What will be going to Happen in Un Professore Season 3 with Expectations and Spoilers?
Season 2 left an unsettling finale for some favourite characters. Un Professore season 2 ending gave all the characters a happy ending except Simone. He is again left to be alone. Will Mimmo return or not is the big question at the moment.
Dante not only faced many complicated issues in his personal life but also a physical issue at the end of season 1. Faced with the symptoms, he revealed his serious health issue, leading to a surgery operation. Aware of the psychological and physical risk involving the operation he is now torn between whether to do the operation or not.
Dante goes to an emergency surgery, leaving Simone once again to face a loss. At this moment Simone really needs support. We hope Dante will return strong and active to influence his students, especially his son.
The series somehow deviated from the original show Merlí. Creators, of course, have the freedom to change the plotline according to their choice. They chose a different path to experiment with the character’s ability.
At this moment the characters will see a new path and continue the show. That is exactly what makes a unique show and the audience without complaining should look forward to it.
However, at the end of season 2, most of the characters saw a happy and satisfying ending. It is doubtful if they will continue to be a part of the next instalment or not. It certainly seems there would be some new characters to blend in with the story.

What Happened at the End of Un Professore Season 2?
Season 2 of Un Professore almost saw a happy ending but left things on a sad note for a few. Simone who saw a whirlwind romance with Mimmo faced to say goodbye to Mimmo forever. The former student of Dante who is very fond of him, is forced to say goodbye.
Simone and Mimmo fell for each other and had quite a history. Finally, when they started the relationship, Mimmo was framed for criminal records, and now forced to enter a witness protection program.
The boy has to leave Rome, cutting ties with his old life, name and surname along with Simone. Their scene ended with a passionate kiss while saying farewell. They both knew it was their last minute together.
Manuel, who was Simone’s love interest in season 1, ends up with a girl. He kept his relationship straight with Nina and reconciled with his father whom he didn’t know for almost 18 years.
Viola and Rayan got engaged. Anita, Manuel’s single mother, at last, ends up with Dante. But Dante’s emergency operation brought new tension to the series. We hope season 3 will clear all the tension and bring a happy ending to everyone.
