My greatest K-drama pet peeve is cheesy editing. God, I loathe the cringe-worthy situations that the female protagonist imagines. I am aware that the series strives to be faithful to the webcomic, but it is rarely necessary. The plot has very serious and profound aspects, whereas the series was occasionally humorous, especially when bullying, melancholy, and suicide were discussed.
The love triangle would have been more emotive if these elements had been treated with greater gravity and had been the focus of the drama. Despite this, the cast did its best with the script they were given. This program is occasionally corny, but I enjoy it because it feels like a real comic book.
The relationship is well-developed and excellent. I appreciate how they conveyed the message of self-love. The character’s cosmetics weren’t the issue; the issue was that we didn’t like her natural appearance. The series is about learning to embrace oneself. This program featured not only humorous but also numerous emotional scenes. If you want to witness a fun, well-written romance comedy drama, I do recommend this film.
