The story of Tierra Incognita starts with the disappearance of Eric Dalaras’s mom and dad with no clues in sight eight years from when the story begins. Eric is frightened but he is also dedicated to knowing where his mom and dad are in this scary world.
Eric and Uma (his sister) live with their grandparents after the disappearance of their parents until they become adults. One day Eric feels ready to step out into the dangerous world to look for his parents in Cabo Qwert, the location where he spent his childhood.
Feeling a bit terrified to go on the search alone, Eric decides to take Uma, his friends, and his aunt with him to search the town and the nearby deserted carnival Tierra Incognita, the place where Eric and Uma’s parents were last spotted.
Eric is now not alone as he has a team of his family and friends to finally face the truth and uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of his parents which was eight years ago.
The truth is hard to find but his team will stop at nothing to help him out as he solves riddles to dig the mystery buried deep in the darkness.

A few ghost hunters decide to look for spirits at Tierra Incognita where they come across a handprint on a windshield created by a ghost.
The ghost hunters make a video of this occurrence and Eric receives it too because of this he tries to bail on his grandparents by making an excuse about some camping trip he has to attend.
Eric uses this excuse to go back to his childhood town of Cape Qwert in hopes of finding clues about the disappearance of his parents.
While Eric is devising his plan to find the truth about his parent’s disappearance, his aunt is teaching the tourists about cave paintings.
However, the tourists are not really into the cave paintings as they want to escape the beach and explore Tierra Incognita instead which is said to be haunted by angry spirits.
The access to Tierra Incognita is restricted for a reason, but that does not stop Eric or the ghost hunters from exploring the abandoned carnival as Eric regroups with his friends to enter the carnival.
Eric’s friend Pablo tells him about the dangers of this haunted place but Eric does not take him seriously and continues the search where he comes across the same location which was being discussed by the ghost hunters in the video.
Eric runs to the ride and finds a statue that looks exactly like his mother; however, this is just his mind playing tricks as Pablo pulls him out of the hallucination. Pablo again tries to explain to Eric that Tierra Incognita is trying to play with their minds.
