And later Nawi meets Malik and befriends him and both finished their training of becoming Agojie warriors while she and Malik will learn that Oyo empire is trying to attack them and she informs this news to Nanisca and meanwhile Nanisca tell her Nawi about her past where Nanisca was abducted, raped and left pregnant by Oba and confirms that Nawi is her biological daughter.
Later Nanisca leads the attack with Oyo and makes it a successful attack. While both Izogie and Nawi will get captured by the Oyo with a few more Agojie, and one of them escapes and inform them about the situation. King Malik buys Nawi to save her Izogie gets killed while he is trying to escape, and Nanisca sets to rescue the captive Agojie after returning home. King will be upset with Nanisca for disobeying him but still crown her as Woman King.

At the end of The Woman King, we see both Nawi and Izogie will get captured by the Oyo empire, and Izogie gets killed while trying to escape.
