When Is The Matchmakers Season 2 Coming Out?

Storyline of The Matchmakers: What it able to be about?
This wholesome historical drama follows the story of Shim Jung Woo (played by Rowoon) and Jung Soon Deok (played by Choi Yi Hyun), where they break all the rules fixed by the society by finding each other despite their tumultuous past.
Jung Woo is a handsome and intelligent but a pompous young man, who is ambitious and has a dream of being in a government position. However, fate has its own plans and his marriage gets fixed with the King’s daughter.
As per Joseon Law, the King’s son-in-law cannot hold a government position and declining the offer of the King is considered treason.
But during the wedding ceremony, the princess faints and is pronounced dead later on. Jung Woo is left alone in the mansion that he received from the King, with no job and bride leading a lonely and a bitter life for 7 years.
On the other hand, Soon Deok leads a double life, being a matchmaker and also a peddler/seller of accessories and cosmetics for women. She is a widow of the second son of a noble family.
Using an alias name- Yeo Joo Dark, she works as a matchmaker and is the best matchmaker in Hanyang. With her intuitiveness and attention-to-detail, she finds suitable partners for men and women, as requested by their parents.
Jung Woo and Soon Deok work together to get older women in the noble family to get married, overcoming multiple political and societal implications, with each having agendas of their own. Romance starts to bloom between them, but how they overcome the societal and cultural issues, despite their past is the driving intention of the plot.
What happened at the end of The Matchmakers Season 1?
Jung Woo and Soon Deok ended up together after multiple issues, mostly legally, as individuals whose spouses are dead, cannot get remarried as per the Joseon law.
The mystery surrounding the death of Jo Ye Jin’s husband and brother is revealed and is linked to Lady Park. Jung Woo is falsely accused by Lady Park and is imprisoned, meanwhile Lady Park blackmails Soon Deok to take her own life.
With tensions rising, the situation turns in favor of the couple, and the King gives them new identities, with their old and original identities and life supposedly perished.
They are appointed as Matchmakers for the country and with their new identity, their marriage and relationship is not forbidden afterall, making the series end on a happy note.
