Storyline of Tell Me That You Love Me: What it able to be about?
This melomance (melodrama + romance) is the story of a deaf artist and an aspiring actress, showcasing their life where they go through introspection, love, and communication that goes beyond words.
Aishuteiru to Itte Kure was a mega-hit in 1995, back when it was aired in Japan, taking the whole drama by shock, as it became one of the top-rated dramas at that time.
Tell Me That You Love Me is a Korean adaptation of the same drama, where nothing has been changed pretty much, except certain scenes and lines that are tweaked for the Korean audience.
The plot revolves around a deaf artist named Cha Jin-Woo (played by the multi-talented Jung Woo-Sung) who spends his life expressing himself through his paintings and works. He works as an art teacher to hearing-impaired kids as a day job and gets happiness from doing what he likes.
He lost his sense of hearing at a young age and got shunned by society due to his disability, making him lead a lonely and melodious life. His life changes when he encounters a struggling actress who is on a trip to Jeju Island.
Jung Mo-Eun (played by every director’s favorite Shin Hyun-Bin) is an aspiring actress who takes a trip to Jeju Island to play a minor role for a film. Circumstances don’t work in favor of her when an issue arises and she ends up getting fired.
She has no other way than to stick around in Jeju for a while, as her accommodations has been paid for. Both leads have many encounters with each other as they reside in the same town. Mo-eun is puzzled as to why the interactions between them are awkward and the a lack of small talk between them.
A dire situation arises where a restaurant is engulfed in fire and Jin-woo hardly knows anything about it, because of his disability. Mo-eun helps him out, making him admire her for her kindness and bravery.
They get to know more about each other through dinner which was organised by Jin-woo.
The calm and gentle demeanor of Jin-woo and the bright yet understanding character of Mo-eun bring in the chemistry that is evident to the viewers and makes you understand that communication and understanding of each other goes beyond words.

The story revolves around Mo-eun, a struggling actress who is on a trip to Jeju to work on a film shoot, where she has a chance meeting with Jin-woo, who has lost his sense of hearing at a young age. While he expresses his emotions and conversations through his art, she works by expressing through her words and voice.
They meet each other in Jeju while traveling and trekking around the town, having awkward and brief encounters with greetings and formal smiles.
Initially, Mo-eun wonders about Jin-woo and his lack of social skills to initiate small talk, until she gets to know about him after a restaurant fire incident, where she helps him while he is oblivious to such incident, due to his hearing disability.
Mo-eun learns about his disability after getting to spend time with him, and even try to learn sign language to converse with him. Their trip and newfound companionship is short-lived as they have to go back to their normal lives back in Seoul.
The couple keeps reliving their encounters and moments they had in Jeju and earn for the same. The drama follows their story of how they reach each other beyond many societal pressures, narrow-minded opinions of people around them, and also the practical issues that they have to deal with, when they start their relationship.
Multiple characters and past issues resurface to bring more drama and spice to their calm and melodic romance, making them rethink their choice and relationship with each other.
The scenery, the locations, the aesthetic of the Jeju, and the magnetic pull between the leads make this drama a lovely and touching tale to watch for.
The chemistry is palpable through the screen and the lead’s soulful acting makes this drama a tear-jerking journey throughout each episode.

What will be going to happen in episodes 15 & 16 with expectations and spoilers?
Episode 14 ended with a cliffhanger and it was quite an emotional ride for the past two episodes. With Mo-eun going in search of Jin-woo’s origin and background, Jin-woo is fighting his own demons.
Ex-love interests and past experiences bring in much more drama and trouble in the paradise for the main couple, where they try to understand each other time and again.
Though there is no official spoiler being released or teased, you can expect a similar ending to that of the original plot of the Japanese drama.
The female lead possibly could break up with the male lead as she is confused between her ex and Jin-woo. Mo-eun’s and Jin-woo’s past and personal life is being unraveled and as per sources from online, the drama might have a bitter-sweet ending similar to the original one.
