Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu (The Saints Power Is Omnipotent), is a Japanese anime that premiered on April 6, 2021. The first season had 12 episodes and aired the season finale in June 2021. The story is set in a different world from ours. In the new world, the citizens of Salutania live within a dark force that creates dangerous monsters called the miasma. The kingdom is overrun with monsters, and even its Order of Knights is not capable of containing them. Then, the Grand Magus performs a ceremony to bring a holy maiden – the legendary Saint who will save their kingdom from our world.
Sei Takanashi, our main lead, is in her twenties and a workaholic who, after a long day of work, returns home only to be pulled into a new world. She, along with another young girl, gets pulled to a new world through a Saint Summoning Ritual. The other girl, Aira Misono, is immediately given recognition as a Saint and whisked away by the Prince while Sei is ignored. Stuck in a new world with nowhere to go, Sei decides to join the Medicinal Flora Research Institute to study herbs and potions. In her new profession, she meets many new people and also develops feelings for the Commander of the Third Order of Knights.
In this new world, all of Sei’s abilities are increased by 50%. Her ability to cast magic, her abilities as a cook, and all other such abilities became magnified. She tries to protect her secret of being a Saint, but when the man she likes, Knight Commander Albert Hawkes, is in danger from monsters, she uses her magic to dispel the black miasma and reveal her true status to the world as such life moves on with her training to hone her abilities.
