Writer’s comment regarding the adaptation of her webtoon See You in My 19th Life Series

Writer Lee Hye was really ecstatic and happy to see her webtoon adapted into Live Action Web Series. Following are the comments; “When I first became a webtoon author, I never thought my work would be adapted into a drama.

I am still amazed and excited. I wonder how the scenes that were only drawn will be portrayed in the drama. I am excited because Director Lee Na Jung and the actors I admire so much are involved.

Perhaps no one is looking forward to the first broadcast more than I am”. Further, the writer talks about the casting of the show, and she comments with a lot of confidence about their skills, further extending her support to the adaption;

here are her exact words: “I had confidence that the actors, who are known for their excellent acting chops, would perfectly fit the roles. When I first visited the filming set, I thought, ‘I was right.’

Regarding Shin Hye Sun, I had imagined every aspect of Ban Ji Eum in her, including her manner of speaking and personality, so it was as if she embodied Ban Ji Eum. Even Ji Eum’s height, which I had set at 173cm, matched perfectly with that of the actress.

Ahn Bo Hyun lost 8kg for the character of Moon Seo Ha, and I was very grateful that he put in effort for the character. I’m excited to see the benign side of Ahn Bo Hyun, which I haven’t seen before, and I’m looking forward to his portrayal of Moon Seo Ha”.

This is a very expected reaction, as there is no greater feeling of pride than having one of your works endorsed on every platform in such a good way.

See You in My 19th Life Series Review

The portrayal of the main character’s capacity for memory in this Korean drama is outstanding. Although the show has not looked at her life after turning 18, this idea can further improve the plot.

The CEO-employee relationship, forbidden love, and the cliché of a frigid male lead paired with a cheery female lead are all present in this program. They should be highlighted. This might not be the ideal option for those looking for innovation and originality.

However, the non-cliched persona of the female lead in the show stands out. She is one of my top 3 female characters in a Korean drama because of her lively demeanor, which is gripping and makes her one of the most remembered characters.

Despite some clichés, this show is worth watching because of how the female lead is portrayed. This program may be incredibly enticing to fans of love dramas, and the idea of reincarnation gives the plot an intriguing twist.
