What Is The Storyline Of Stealer The Treasure Keeper Series?
The series starts with the action immediately as it shows a few crooked fellows trying to sell a stolen Buddha statue for money. The scene builds suspense when we learn about extra security in the building where the sale is taking place to thwart a notorious thief. Immediately after we see said thief rappel down a rope to steal the statue in a daring feat.
Audiences are immediately drawn into the show for its high-stakes action intertwined with situational comedy that is well executed. We are introduced to several characters including Lee Joo-woo who is an elite police officer assigned to the cultural heritage team of the Seoul police force and her colleague Shin Chang-hoon and her boss Jo Han-chul.
Han-chul as the leader forms an unofficial cultural heritage restoration team called Team Karma along with his two subordinates. Their aim is to help the legendary thief Skunk who has made a reputation for stealing famous antiques from corrupt officials and politicians and turning them over to the Seoul police’s cultural heritage team.
We then meet Skunk, the thief who has put every criminal on high alert. He is none other than Hwang Dae-myung, a simple civil servant of the Special Investigation Division of the Cultural Heritage Administration. He leads a double life as a bumbling civil servant who is seemingly very lucky without doing any fruitful work and is looked down upon by his colleagues; and Skunk, a mysterious thief with a tragic past.
Who steals from the rich and refuses to kill. He is accompanied by Lee Chun-ja, Skunk’s ally with unmatched hacking skills and financial power which helps Skunk in his missions. The two groups are on a collision course as their motives are the same. The villains are deadly and the plot is well-developed. The comedy elements of the show are well balanced with the action.
