His transition from the prince of Arcadia to the Dark Knight was also not the best. There was barely any character development and the series was just continuing for the sake of it.

Fans too did not have very high expectations from the series. They knew it was a cliche but those who gave it a shot had a lot of criticism for the series. The anime was not well developed. The VFX weren’t the best and the overall anime was disappointing.
