Safe Season 2 Storyline: What Would It Be Able to Be About?
The streaming site Netflix has quite too many crime shows on its site. Among British dramas, Safe is one of the most popular ones.
The British crime drama is set in England, and filmed in Cheshire, Manchester and Liverpool. The show is a production of the French TV channel Canal+, in short C+.
Safe Season 1 focuses on a widowed father, Briton Tom Delaney who is a paediatric surgeon. After his wife Rachel’s death, Tom is having a hard time dealing with his two teenage daughters, especially the elder one.
Tom couldn’t connect to his daughters as they are still grieving even one year after their mom’s death from cancer. Days later his 16-year-old daughter Jenny went missing and never returned that night.
The situation worsened when Tom got to know Jenny’s boyfriend Chris was also missing. At this critical time, he took police assistance from Sophie, whom he is having an affair with. During the search, Tom found out many surprising secrets about their friendly neighbourhood.
What Happened at the End of Safe Season 2?
The show starts with Tom’s search for her daughter Jenny. His probe led him to many mysteries and a couple of deaths.
Jenny’s boyfriend Chris’ death became the pivotal point in the series that tied the whole mystery. The last episode disclosed all the root causes.
The second last episode revealed that the people behind the school fire were Bobby, Helen, Rachel, Sophie and Craig. Sophie revealed the school incident to Tom. They tried to restore the damage by contributing to the community. Luckily Sophie got herself a job at the police department.
Jenny previously learned the secret from her mother Rachel’s diary. She went to talk to Helen but Helen aggressively refused to talk. Jenny also went to meet Bobby but he too refused.
In the next scene, Helen meets Bobby telling him to reveal everything. That prompted Bobby to shoot her.
As Jenny is very close to revealing the past truth, Bobby and Sophie quickly want to remove Jenny from their radar. However, Tom arrives there, following the trail of Sophie. Bobby pointed a gun at them before committing suicide.
In the next scene, we see Emna asking Jenny about the pendant in the pool. Tom immediately recognizes that it belongs to Sophie. He faces Sophie who later confessed everything but it was never her intention.
It was revealed that Sophie killed Chris to keep her secret safe. Chris came to know about the secret and threatened to reveal it. She killed her by drowning him and removed all the traces.
In the end, Tom reconciled but without hesitation, called the police. They arrested Sophie for all the crimes.

What will be going to happen in Season 2? Expectation and Spoilers
The story revolves around the widowed father and his missing daughter. However, the people around him he trusted had some deep secrets.
The story’s connection leads back to the adult’s school days when a fire broke out and eight students died. The person behind the fire is not one but a group of students. They wanted to protect the secret so much that they could go to great lengths to murder people.
The show has thrown all the secrets there in eight episodes. The audience can easily connect the dots to find the mystery.
However, if there is season 2 of Safe, we can expect more new stories of the past. The relationships of all the characters are not revealed too much. Why was Tom unaware of the secret from the past? We can expect them in season 2 if the show is greenlit.
