Oh My Ghost: What It Would be able to be About?
The romantic dramedy series, “Oh My Ghost” revolves around the story of Bong Sun, a meek and timid character who finds it difficult to assert her opinions strongly!
Bong Sun works as an assistant chef at the Sun restaurant, where her boss, Sung Woo’s attitude towards her hints to the fact that he does not like her weak and shy personality, and overly anxious attitude.
Bong Sun’s life takes an unexpected turn when a virgin ghostess, Shin Sun Ae, possesses her. Actually, Bong Sun, due to a blessing from her shaman grandmother, possesses the ability to see ghosts! One day, while crossing paths with Shin Sun Ae, Bong Sun says sorry to the ghost for blocking her path!
Shocked at such an event, Shin Sun Ae, makes up her mind to possess her soul, and so to fulfil her lustful wishes! Her possession of Bong Sun is actually a result of Shin Sun Ae believing that she can only move to afterlife only after she lose her virginity!
A shy and feeble Bong Sun now turns into a completely different person-bold and free-spirited!
On the other hand, we see Shin Sun Ae finding Bong Sun a perfect host, and thus decides to stay in her body, to seduce as many men as she can! On the other side, Bong-Sun had a long-time crush on her boss, Sung Woo, but could never gather the courage to ask him out.
When Bong Sun transforms into a bold and confident personality, she catches his eye, who now has a soft place for her in the heart.
On the other side, Bong Sun realizes that Sung Woo loves her for her dynamic personality, which is not her own. She decides to confront him. In the meantime, Shin Sun Ae also develops feelings for Sung Woo.
What happened at the end of Oh My Ghost season 1?
In the last episode of Season 1, we find Suhbingo, the medium, trying her best to distract herself, as it’s time for the ghost of Soon Ae to bid adieu to this realm and move onto the afterlife.
The scene changes, and we see Soon Ae’s father, Myeong Ho, along with Gyeong Ho decorating the memorial for his daughter, Soon Ae’s departure.
As he gets a phone call from the police station, he goes there only to find out that his daughter never committed suicide but was murdered by Sung Jae, the Police Officer. Upon receiving such shocking news, he collapses on the spot.
Later, Soon Ae upon arriving at his father’s restaurant, finds it empty, and overhears a conversation which said about his father’s collapse! Soon, she rushes to the hospital, only to realize that his father will not make it this time. When the ghost tries to talk to her father, she realizes that he is dead.
Horrified, she tries to stop her father’s soul from walking down the path to afterlife. Myeong Ho’s soul returns back to his body, and he comes back to life once again. When Bong Sun comes in to visit Myeong Ho, she could see Soon Ae, and the duo starts chit chatting.
Bong Sun thanks Soon Ae for all that she did to her, while Soon Ae asks Bong Sun to live life with great joy. Soon, Bong Sun asks Soon Ae to possess her again, so that she could say a last goodbye to Sung Woo.
Later, Soon Ae, with the help of Bong Sun, reconnects with Sung Woo again and thanks him for everything he did to make her feel safe. Finally, it’s time for her to go back to her own world!
Next day Sung Woo gets a call from a show to judge a cooking competition, but he humbly turns it down, and rather signs in Bong Sun as one of the competitors. Later, Bong Sun wins the competition, and with the prize money, makes up her mind to go abroad to study.
Fast forward to 2 years later, we find Sung Woo owning a new restaurant, where he is now busy training Gyeong Ho. Soon, Bong Sun arrives there, and Sung Woo is shocked to see his love yet again. The show concludes with the couple going on a bike ride together, where they remember how a sudden visit from a ghost changed the entire trajectory of their life!
What can we expect from Oh My Ghost season 2?
Although we do not have any “Oh My Ghost” season 2 trailer at the moment, we can expect the “Oh My Ghost” season 2 episodes to pick up from where it left off in the first season. The audience can expect to see more of the chemistry between the couple – Sung Woo and Bong Sun.
