The most common complaint about this series is that it has no legitimate ending. Rather than stressing over the lack of a sequel, I purchased and read the manga, which concludes with book number 10.

I have the impression that the author believes they are. I am neither Japanese nor American, but I have visited the United Kingdom and the United States, and I do not believe a female would appreciate all of them.
