The audience loved the show even though it was not as famous as other anime it was still loved by the viewers. The makers haven’t announced anything about the third season yet, but with the reviews on the series, there would probably be a 3rd season.
Initially, it was to be announced in late 2022 or by early 2023, but there was no news about the show. Seasons 1 and 2 only covered a part of the manga series of this anime, and there is still a lot of content left.
The new season would probably focus on new love stories and the members being successful artists. We hope they announce the release of the 3rd season soon and end the wait for the audience.
Kono Oto Tomare Season 2 English Dub Release Date
Season 2 of this anime was released on 13th October 2019. The English dubbed version of season 1 was released in 2022, which is a few years after the release date of the anime, so probably the 2nd season will be released soon, but there are no confirmed dates regarding the release yet.
Kono Oto Tomare Season 3 Storyline: What Would It Be Able to Be About?
The story takes place in Tokise High School. It was the beginning of the new semester. Takezo Kurata, the only member of the Koto club which specializes in traditional Japanese music instruments, struggles to hold the club after the seniors graduate.
The club room was destroyed by the bullies, and if he didn’t get any new members for the club, the club would be disbanded. When Takezo is in the club room, Chika Kudo, a student who is said to have police records, barges in and declares that he wants to join the club.
After Chika Kudo joined the club, Takezo decided to perform in the school presentations so that he could get more members for the group. His performance didn’t go well, but still, Satowa Hozuki joined the club. She was the daughter of the grandmaster of the famous Hozuki school.
The club was still under the challenge of disbandment as a club needs to have five members to survive. Satowa meets Chika and his friends Saneyasu Adachi, Kota Mizuhara, and Michitaka Sakai and asks them to join the group they all agree but the vice principal is not satisfied as Chika’s friends and himself have a bad reputation.
The vice principal asked them to perform in front of the whole school to prove themselves. The club begins practicing for the big performance as this is the last chance they have to save themselves from disbandment.
Satowa trains other members of the club since she is trained in the art, but since other members of the group were new to the musical instruments, it was difficult for them to learn fast. A new member, Hiro Kurusu from Takezo’s class, joins their group.
Takezo didn’t talk to her much, but she seemed pretty great. Hiro and Chika know Satowa’s truth that she lives alone and has a complicated relationship with her family. Hiro tries to meddle in the group. Two girls from Himesaka Girls Academy visited their clubroom who knew Satowa.
By hearing them sing, the whole group was shocked and decided to start a training camp; everybody was improving day by day. The Kanto Region Traditional Japanese music festival was in a few days and the training was almost over.
They decided to perform in the festival and also got to know that Himesaka and Meriyo the most elite schools were participating in the festival. Meriyo’s performance was incredible nothing can be compared to them and everybody was already scared and nervous by the time Koto’s club was up.
They performed well even though they made some mistakes, but in the end, they proved themselves.
Satowa and her friends are talking about boys but she doesn’t understand their conversation, Satowa asks Hiro if she is weird. It was school festival day, the ex-president of the club visited Takezo and he asked her to visit them to perform in the gym.
The music was decided for the competition Takinami wanted a 17-string instrument for the music and Satowa decided to visit her mother to borrow the instrument. Takinami made Akira Dojima the instructor as she was a student from Hozuki school and she didn’t need any instructions from Satowa.
Akira hates Satowa for some reason. The nationals were near, and everybody was working hard. When they reached the venue they saw the participants from big elite schools there. The Himesaka, the Hakuto, and every big band were performing in the competition.
Anyways they performed and won the competition and everything in their personal life was also solved with the ending of the last episode, but the love angle of Chika and Satowa didn’t move forward, but the makers put a hint that they have feelings for each other and something might happen in future.
What Happened at the End of Kono Oto Tomare Season 2?
The story ended with them proving themselves as amazing musicians by winning the nationals for which they had been preparing for months, almost the entire semester. Also, the winning shows how they won even though the circumstances were against them, from getting disbanded to being the champions the Koto club has come a long way.
The ending shows how every character had different motives to join the club and how every character is written and developed over time. The makers put a scene of Chika and Satowa’s moment and how everything was resolved in the personal lives of the members.
It leaves us on a cliffhanger, the last episode was the beginning of a new chapter and probably their life after the competition might be shown in the upcoming seasons.
