Park Seo Joon and Kim Da Mi’s Itaewon class took the entire Korean showbizz by surprise back when it premiered in 2020 on JTBC. The entire cast’s spectacular performances in their respective roles delivered so well that they bagged the best drama award at the Asian T.V awards 2020.
The story follows a vengeful Park Sae-ro-yi (So Joon) bent upon avenging his dead father whose death was declared as a mishap although it was a staged murder by Jangga group’s CEO JangDae Hee. His thirst for revenge got him imprisioned and by the time he was released all his loved ones had moved ahead in their lives.

Showbox hasn’t declared any news confirming the renewal of this hit show. But base on the popularity of the show it won’t be wrong to assume that they might bring a second season.
Although in that case they will have to piece up an entirely new plot for the sequel. Itaewon Class’ story is derived from the webtoon of the same name and according to the comic the story has already ended. So there is no point in bringing a second season.
However the creators can totally decide to give it a shot by giving it a new story. But until then the fans will have to lookout for other youth tv shows similar to this one.

Storyline Of Itaewon Class: What would it be able to be About?
In the first episode we get to know that Ro-Yi, in an attempt to help a bullied student beat up a delinquent Jang Geun Won who happened to be Jangga group’s chairman’s son. Enraged by this insult he got Ro-Yi expelled from the school and even murdered his dad in a car-crash. Ro-Yi tried to get back at him but it only got him jailed.
Flashforward to the present time where Ro-Yi’s detention period is up and he gets out only to receive the biggest shock in his life. The love of his life Oh Soo Ah has completed her studies from a reputed university and is now serving as Jangga group’s planner.
Deeply hurt by her actions he severs all connections with her and decides to start his life afresh, he sets up DanBam a bar cum restaurant in Itaewon.
Now enters Jo Yi-seo, a highly qualified, intellectual girl who excels in whatever she does. She is a social media queen as well as an exceptional blogger. Following a series of unexpected events she ends up falling for Ro-Yi and vouches to be his bar manager.
Also hesitant at first her persistency makes him give in and this is where their small Itaewon family’s story begins. Full of laughter tear and emotional this series leaves a mark on the audience.

What happened at the end of Itaewon Class Season 1
At the end of season 1, Ro -Yi ended up reciprocating Yi-Seo’s feelings and they began a new chapter in their lives. On the other hand, president Jang suffered a huge defeat.
His fraudaulent transactions and other misdoings were exposed and his company was in ruins. Karma bit him in the back as he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and had to knock on his foe Sa Ro-Yi’s door for help.

Also things ended on good terms between Geun Soo and Yi Seo in the end. Although his love was unrequited, he gained her friendship and parted with an adorable hug. Soo Ah established her own cafe and was seen doing quite well. There was a spark of romance indicated between the chef and her.In a way everyone was given a fully satisfactory ending.
