Heels Season 1 Plotline

Heels is a sports drama series based on the industry of professional wrestling. This drama series revolves around the story of two brothers and rivals where one is a ‘heel’ in the ring (who is the villain or antagonist in the ring to the people who breaks the rules and is fought by the ‘good guy’ characters) and the other is the face. They fight over their demised father’s wrestling promotion just to grab attention from the nation from a small town of Georgia.

Heels Season 2.3

The story of Heels revolves around the Duffy Wrestling League, which is currently run by the son of the league’s original founder, Jack Spade. Jack has the worst job in wrestling because he not only owns the company but also serves as its primary writer and booker. As a result, everyone loves and hates him tremendously, and it’s not uncommon for these feelings to coexist.

As someone who spent their childhoods watching professional wrestling, I find that I love this show an incredible amount. However, one need not be a supporter in order to appreciate it. The way that the show delves into unexpected and dark topics matters is another aspect of the family dynamic that I adore. I couldn’t stop watching after the fifth episode, and the pun was meant. I can’t wait to find out what the next step is!

Heels Season 1 Summary

The whole plot of the complete series’ Heels’ is very simple and has been made for wrestling enthusiasts, where we witness the story of Jake and Ace, two brothers who want to make the wrestling federation DWL (their late father’s great achievement) a nationwide success.

The company’s main face is the babyface (Ace), the ‘good guy’, and his brother is the ‘heel’ of the company. Ace is rude and egoistic, and Jack is a loving husband. These few facts and more tense things between the brothers.

What happened at the end of season 1 of The Heels?

Episode 8 plays out as the finale episode of The Heels season 1. Where we get to see the past of the brothers, where Jack gets his lessons from his father and get a knick into wrestling. There isn’t much important going at the end of the episode it also doesn’t answer any questions either but gives us a unique end with the hope of a renewal of the series for a season 2.

What will happen next in season 2?

There isn’t much revealed regarding season 2 of The Heels but based on the first part, we can easily speculate that season 2 might answer many important questions yet to be answered. Besides this, season 2 will primarily focus on continuing the story forward from where it left in season 1.

Heels Season 2 Popularity

The 1st season of Heels is now enjoying higher levels of viewership. The program was introduced to a sizable audience and has continued to build on its success ever since it first aired. There is much anticipation among viewers of the show for the subsequent episode, and there has been discussion on a potential second season.

Heels Season 1 Rating

Despite being a sports drama, this show has performed very well on the platforms. The complete series has been loved by fans and critics simultaneously. Currently, Heels stands tall at a good 8 out of 10 on IMDb, which is justified based on what the series has to offer to its audience.

Never really gave it much of my attention in the first place. Heels has a powerful beginning and immediately hooks you in. I don’t think having a passion for wrestling is required in order to appreciate this show. In the end, this is a story about the competition that exists between two brothers, and anyone who has siblings will be able to relate to that. If you want to know how highly Amazfeed thought of this show, the score should be 7.0 out of 10.

Heels Season 1 review

‘Heels’ has been a great sports drama series focused on Wresting industry with an enticing ending. All the plot points are covered until the end of the season, which is a good thing considering the series’ pace. Yet there are a lot of questions to be answered, which we might see being covered in the next iteration of the series. Even though the story revolves around the series’ protagonists, the other characters also receive their respective conclusive arcs.

The fact that I am familiar with both of the show’s lead performers from their roles on Arrow and Vikings made it an easy decision for me to start watching the show. It came as a surprise to me to see that there are just eight episodes total in this series, which, in my opinion, is a somewhat low number; I had anticipated at least ten episodes.

This is a fantastic show. The performances given by the actors are excellent. The plot is interesting, and the writing is solid throughout. I am genuinely taken aback by this. I feel obligated to point out that the first season of Glow, the other wrestling program, was extremely good, and that this was also quite good.
