Baal’s Attack

Normal Attack

Performs up to 5 consecutive spear strikes.

Charged Attack

Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to perform an upward slash.

Plunging Attack

Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu (Elemental Skill)

• Baal reveals a shard of her Euthymia, inflicting Electro damage to opponents nearby. This strike delivers a flurry of fast Electro slashes.
• Allies within range benefit from the ‘Eye of Stormy Judgment’ effect.
  • Characters under the power of the Eye of Stormy Judgment will launch a coordinated assault in addition to their own, causing extra AOE Electro damage.
  • They also earn an Elemental Burst damage bonus dependent on the Energy cost of that Burst.
  • This effect can happen once every 0.9 seconds for each party. Coordinated assaults from characters you do not control deal 20% of the standard damage.

Nereid’s Ascension (Elemental Burst)

• Baal performs her ‘Musou no Hitotachi’ attack, drawing an Electro Sword from her own body (really, really) and causing AOE Electro damage.
• This is immediately followed by a flurry of ‘Musou Isshin’ assaults.
  • The Musou Isshin condition adds Electro to all of Baal’s Normal, Charged, and Plunging attacks. Elemental Burst damage will be dealt as a result of these assaults.
  • Any Musou Isshin strike will replenish Energy for nearby friends. This can happen once every second for a total of five times.
  • While Musou Isshin is active, Baal gains greater resistance to interruption and tolerance to Electro-Charged Elemental Reaction damage.
• If Raiden Shogun leaves the battlefield, the Musou Isshin effects will be removed.
• Raiden Shogun receives Resolve stacks when adjacent friends use Elemental Bursts (excluding Baal) as part of the ‘Chakra Desiderata’ effect.
  • The quantity of Resolve acquired is determined by the Energy prices of the Bursts. The maximum amount of Resolve available is 60.
  • Resolve is consumed when Baal’s Burst is activated, and it increases the damage done by Musou no Hitatachi and Misou Isshin attacks.
  • If Baal is idle for more than 300 seconds, the resolve earned by Chakra Desiderata will vanish.

Weapon Options

MiHoYo will introduce a new Inazuma Polearm weapon, Engulfing Lightning, alongside Baal’s Wish Banner in Genshin Impact 2.1. And guess what else? It’s just right for our Raiden Shogun. It boosts Energy Recharge and offers additional bonuses dependent on it, so it’s easy to understand why you should utilise it if you have the chance.

Prototype Starglitter (4-Star) –After using an Elemental Skill, this skill grants an Energy Recharge bonus and increases Normal and Charged Attack damage.

Best Baal Artifacts

It makes reasonable to prioritise Elemental Burst damage and Energy Recharge when looking for the best Artifacts for Baal. Emblem of Severed Fate – (2) Increases Energy Recharge by 20%. (4) Elemental Burst damage is increased by 25% of your Energy Recharge.

Noblesse Oblige – (2) Increases Elemental Burst damage by 20%. (4) After using an Elemental Burst, all allies’ attack power is increased by 20% for a duration of 12 seconds.

The Exile – (2) Increase Energy Recharge by 20%. (4) After using an Elemental Burst, you’ll regenerate two Energy for all allies (excluding Baal herself) every two seconds. The effect lasts for six seconds.

Thundering Fury – (2) Grants an Electro damage bonus of 15%. (4) Damage from Overloaded, Electro-Charged and Superconduct Elemental reactions is increased by 40%. Triggering such effects also decreases the Elemental Skill cooldown by one second (no more than once every 0.8 seconds).

Best Team for Baal

Because Baal is an Elemental Burst Support, search for allies that have an extremely powerful Elemental Burst attack. Furthermore, because Baal is not a primary DPS or healer/shield giver, you must fill those responsibilities. Eula would be a great choice for the primary DPS position, with Diona serving as the best Support (also providing a handy Cryo Resonance Critical Rate buff).
