Being a dedicated follower of ‘Descendants’ since its inception, I have eagerly watched all three movies immediately upon their release. The initial installment of Descendants immediately captured my affection and engrossed my undivided attention. Regrettably, the third movie seems somewhat detached from the rest of the series. It possesses a distinctiveness that deviates from the essence of its predecessors, and not always in a positive manner.

In her role as a villain, actress Sarah Jeffrey delivers a believable performance. However, the rapid transformation into extreme evilness feels unnatural and contrived. The redemption journey she goes through towards the end appears to be haphazard and lacking purpose. Nevertheless, I must admit that I did find the storyline of The Queen of Mean to be enjoyable.

It is important to note that a majority of the songs in Descendants 3 were not as good as the songs in the first and second movies. Overall, Descendants 3 was a decent film, providing enjoyment for viewers thanks to Disney Channel. Although I had a good time watching it, I don’t think I will love it as much as the first two movies.
