Berlin Season 2 is back and fans are excited for another season of Berlin’s story.
Fans of Money Heist [also known as La Casa de Papel (LCDP)] are in for a treat when Netflix days before the release of the 2nd volume of the 5th part of Money Heist, confirmed that they are also developing a spin series “Berlin” which will be a prequel to and trace the storyline before the events of Money Heist.
The character of Berlin is a fan favourite among Money Heist fans due to the complexity and mystery his character is always shrouded in.
Berlin is described as a narcissist, misogynist, psychopath, and liar with an undeniable charm, sophistication, ruthlessness, and tenderness at the same time.
So if ever a spin-off on one of the characters’ came, Berlin would have been the top contender, as it happened.
The show is created by Álex Pina along with Esther Martinez under the banner of Netflix. The series premiered on 29 December 2023 on Netflix and consists of 8 episodes.

Berlin Season 2 Storyline: What Would It Be Able to Be About?
Prior to the events of Season 1 and 2 of Money Heist, Berlin, who is going through a divorce from his 3rd marriage, looks forward to orchestrating a heist as he says that the only thing that can replace love is a thrilling heist.
He along with his other gang members disguises themselves as police officers and successfully acquires a chalice from the estate of Antonio Vals. The chalice is the key for them to rob the royal jewels from a church in Paris.
They pose as University surveyors and stay on the prospect of digging the church. Using the chalice as something found during digging they convince the Father of the church to let them stay and continue their digging.
With the plan all set they eagerly await the day when they will conduct the heist and make away with the jewels. They keep track of Francois, a man only who knew when and where the jewels would arrive, putting his house under constant surveillance.
They plan on framing him for the robbery as they make their escape. Berlin upon surveillance becomes infatuated with the man’s wife, Camile.
Will Berlin be able to win the heart of the woman? Will they be able to successfully complete the heist or will their individual relationship endanger their plans? To know the answer to these questions, tune into Netflix and the stream there Berlin Season 2.
What Happened at the End of Berlin Season 1?
After successfully completing the highest the gang plans to escape from Paris by splitting up with Bruce and the killer escaping together through the forest where a snake bites Keela which forces Bruce to take her to a hospital where they are recognised by someone and have to hold the people hostage as the escape from there in a police car in a lake and escape to Spain on the boat.
Meanwhile, Rui and Cameron who were being given chased by police, they hid themselves in a truck with the help of tarps and escaped to Spain.
The only ones who are left in Paris are Berlin and Damian who burn all the evidence and pieces of equipment in the hotel room and escape dressed as janitors, as the police arrive to catch them.

Meanwhile, Camile became aware of the fact that it was Berlin who was the mastermind behind the heist and had falsely implicated an innocent Francois.
The gang later reunites with each other in an abandoned warehouse in Spain.
After the Heist, Camile plans to call the police but is advised by Susi to track down Berlin and blackmail him. She successfully tracks down Berlin who tries to convince her that he truly loves her but to no effect, Berlin transfers his entire share to Camile’s bank account as the curtain closes to season 1.
What Can We Expect from Berlin Season 2?
Although Berlin Season 2 has not been confirmed there is still excitement from the fans for the new season. As season 1 ended with Berlin calling Damian for another heist after he gave up his share to Camile.
Damian agreed as he was also getting bored. So this acts as a continuing point for the transition of the story in Season 2.
Fans are also excited to see what happens to the rest of the gang. There are also chances of the story of the Fredriksborg Castle heist, which Berlin and his son Rafael conducted, being shown in Berlin Season 2

How Is the Season Rated So Far?
The show was given a 7.2/10 by IMDb and a 3.5/5 user rating by Rotten Tomatoes.
But the show was received critically by audiences as they complained that rather than the charismatic, focused, ruthless Berlin of LCDP we meet a lovelorn womaniser who is ready to endanger the entire heist for a girl.
The heist lacked intensity, and excitement and looked too easy as the characters looked casual. Not even the introduction of fan favourites Sierra and Raquel Murillo could revive the plot that is considered dead.
