Prime Minister Narendra Modi led tributes to the late Aaj Tak anchor and journalist Rohit Sardana, who died on Friday.
Rohit Sardana was 41 years old. However, after his health declined this morning, he was admitted to a Noida hospital. Sardana’s wife and two daughters survive him.

As word of Sardana’s death spread, condolences began to flood in on social media.
According to Sardana’s colleagues, he died of cardiac arrest despite still being sick with COVID-19.
On Zee News, he hosted the famous debate show ‘Taal Thok Ke,’ which discussed current issues in India.
Sardana left Zee News in 2017 to join Aaj Tak, where he currently hosts the debate show “Dangal.”
He received the Ganesh Vidyarthi Puraskar Award in 2018. He was one of India’s most recognizable names in television news.
