Zero Chill Season 2 Updates, Cast, Release Date, Plot, Trailer

Zero Chill has only recently arrived on Netflix, but whenever a new original series debuts on the platform, we can’t help but wonder if it will be renewed. It’s part of the price of having an ear to the ground regarding the latest Netflix news. We’re just as curious as you are regarding the status of Zero Chill season 2 on the streamer.

This family comedy-drama has been doing well on the platform as one of Netflix’s Top 10 offers for TV series the past several days. It’s no wonder why.

Since the 2018 Winter Olympics reminded audiences of why hockey and ice skating were so popular in the 1990s, the general U.S. public has yet to fall out of love with winter sports.

While Netflix’s try at wooing an ice-obsessed viewership with Spinning Out failed last year, the streamer certainly hasn’t given up. But instead of a complex drama, the platform chose a series the whole family could enjoy.

Possible Zero Chill Season 2 Story

Zero Chill is a show that tells the story of the MacBentley twins, Kayla and Mac. The two adolescents are brilliant on the ice; however, Mac has the sort of rising star that frequently obscures his sister. They both have distinct passions and goals to pursue. That is made abundantly evident when the MacBentleys relocate their lives to England so that Mac can become a member of the Hammarström hockey squad. The move powers Kayla to break her set’s skating structure and begin once again in another area. It also causes strain between the twins, as Kayla fights for her dream to be recognized and thought of in the same way that Mac’s is.

Possible Plot of Zero Chill Season 2

The second season of Zero chill would center on Kayla’s figure skating as she strives to return to paired competition alongside an unexpected partner and friend, Sky.

Paired figure skating normally doesn’t include two female partners, so if Kayla and Sky find a way to participate, you may expect their competitors to frown upon the couple. If Kayla and Sky were to win a pairs competition, they would be the first female couple to do so.

On the other hand, Mac declined the opportunity to travel to Prague and play for a professional squad. Instead, he has decided to remain in the United Kingdom with his family in order to help his twin sister Kayla. We still expect Mac to compete somehow, and perhaps additional offers will come his way, putting his commitment to his family or his desire to become a pro-ice hockey player to the test.

Zero Chill Season 2 Release Date

Written by Adam Usden, the primary first season was provided to us on 15 March 2021. Entailing 10 episodes that all came released on the same day, 26–34 minutes in runtime.

When we look at the series’ rating on IMDb, we notice that it has 5.7 out of 10 based on 1,170 user votes, which suggests a poor performance; yet, the drama is included in a wide range of top ten lists around the world. Zero Chill made it onto 49 different top 10 lists on Netflix around the world, including the United States, where it stayed for five days.

Since Zero Chill season 1 was released recently, it’s premature to expect anything, as we all know that Netflix often takes some time to assess how a certain series does in terms of ratings and reviews and whether it’s worth investing in for the future installments.

In the case of Zero Chill, no announcements have yet been made; we are still waiting to hear something in support of a second season. Because the series is highly successful and has received attention from the younger generations, which is not surprising given that it is a teen drama, it is questionable whether it will be canceled. Now we simply have to wait a few months to learn more about Zero Chill Season 2.
