What Happens to Zenitsu at the end?
Before he is rescued by Yushiro and brought back to life from his battle against Upper Moon Six Kaigaku, his master expresses great pride in him.
This declaration from his master gave him the strength to keep fighting, resulting in him playing an essential role in the battle against Muzan, the progenitor of demons, which leads to their extinction.
After that, the story fast-forwards to the present day, which reveals that Zenitsu, alongside his friends Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Inosuke, survived the final battle. But that’s not all. He also marries the love of his life, Nezuko Kamado.
They are shown having kids and even grandkids. The manga’s final chapter also introduces his descendants, Yoshiteru Agatsuma and Toko Agatsuma, along with the descendants of other main characters.
His life after the primary battle is portrayed as peaceful, where he doesn’t need to fight demons, and he dies of old age after a long and happy life with his wife.
Does Zenitsu die at the end?

Kaigaku and he used to be disciples of Jigoro Kuwajima, former Thunder Hashira. Kaiguka eventually became a demon when he encountered Upper Moon One Kokushibo, which forced Kuwajima to commit seppuku for producing a disciple who became a demon.
So Zenitsu has to be the one to put an end to Kaigaku. In that regard, he will face Kaigaku in the final arc of the storyline. The battle between talented but demonically enhanced Kaigaku and Zenitsu results in Zenitsu beheading Kaigaku using the Thunder Breathing Seventh Form, which he created himself.
Zenitsu doesn’t come unscattered out of the battle as he dies of exhaustion from the battle where he meets his master. But before completely dying off, he was rescued by Yushiro, much to Kaigaku’s frustration as his head began to disappear.

The people who pass the final exam and join the ranks of Demon Slayer Corps are gifted a messenger bird, usually a crow, which forms a communicating medium between hunters and the Corps.
These birds make sure that the hunters know where they are needed. However, the Kasugai assigned to Zenitsu wasn’t a crow but a cute sparrow.
Chuntarothe, the sparrow, is a perfect match for Zenitsu for various reasons. The sparrow showcases gentleness, and Zenitsu prefers to avoid conflict and has only perfected one Thunder Breathing technique yet makes him the gentle one within the trio.
Many fans believe that the sparrow reference is from the Legend of the Sparrow Fairy, telling the tale of a kind-hearted farmer and his insensitive wife. After finding the sparrow hurt and struggling, the farmer takes it home to treat the sparrow but his wife disapproves of the sparrow as she doesn’t see value in saving its life.
After keeping its life and reuniting with its family, the farmer was offered a reward, giving him a choice in selecting from 2 chests- one big and the second small. As the farmer was a very humble man, he chose the small chest, eventually finding treasures.
There is a saying, “Curiosity killed the cat” his wife got curious as she captured the sparrow and demanded the larger chest only to find snakes and horrors within it.
Just like the story, having a humble ego leaves ample space for development while restricting the possibility of avarice. The greedy, excessively ambitious demon slayer might cause more destruction than good, losing their true purpose of protecting the weak.
