What Is The Storyline Of The Summer I Turned Pretty

The summer I turned pretty. Basically, the series revolves around a girl named Belly and her love triangle with two brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah fischer. The things started at summer in Cousins, a place where Belly’s family and Conrad’s family used to spend their summers together as their mothers were best friends.

Conrad’s mother Sussanaah always liked Belly and said she’s her special girl. She always wanted Belly and Conrad to be together as they both had some chemistry in them. So, finally this summer things started building up between the friends.

I have recently watched The Summer I Turned Pretty, an Amazon prime series. It is about two pairs pairs of siblings and their moms spending their summer holidays together in the place called Cousins.

The The young girl Belly has been caught up in love-triangle with the siblings Conrad and Jeremiah. Belly has been in love with Conrad since childhood but in this summer she goes through different events that leads to her heartbreak.

Jeremiah has feelings for her but gets heartbroken because Belly choses Conrad. They discover that their mother Susannah has cancer in the end of season 1. In season 2 Belly and Conrad start dating but broke up due to different circumstances.

There in cousins, she found out that Conrad has a girlfriend which broke her and she came together with a boy named Cam cameron who lived in cousins. But Belly wasn’t able to move on from Conrad so when things started heating up between Belly and Conrad, Belly broked up with Cam.

But then Conrad was all fucked up as he got to know that her mother is having Cancer and she’s in her last stage. He was in trauma so he ignored the only person whom he loved most after his mother, that is Belly.

She felt unwanted and decided to get over him and kissed Jeremiah, Conrad’s brother. But still Belly wasn’t over with Conrad fully. The day Sussanaah died, on her funeral Belly saw Conrad with some other girl, and she panicked out and made a scene on funeral.

After some time, she got to know that Conrad was having panic attack and that girl found him and was trying to make him relax. Belly was again with Connie (Conrad) but Conrad again left her.

Then after some days they got to know that Sussanaah sister has decided to sell the house in cousins. They all came together again to protect their summer house at any cost. They protected the house but Belly broked Conrad as she kissed Jeremiah. The end.

I adore the first season because it is so adorable and I adore Conrad and all the show’s themes. I also enjoyed the second season, but I’m not a fan of Belly and Jeremiah’s relationship. Belly is not correct in everything she says to Conrad; she justifies everything he endured.

Susannah’s passing broke my heart, and the scene in the final episode where she was with Belly and they listened to Taylor Swift’s “Bigger Than The Whole Sky” made me weep a lot.

The strange situation between the main character and the two siblings was the reason I could not fully comprehend this television program.

I believe this encouraged young women to sleep with people’s entire families and to believe that it was normal and acceptable… extraordinary. However, other than that, the other characters are endearing and the show is entertaining and uplifting.
